a reflective farewell

thanks for all your kind words guys,
Im not over alcohol and other drug work yet, harm reduction will always be a passion of mine.
Part of leaving here is to take my AOD career to the next step and get involved in federal level policy work and research. but to do that well i need balance in life. Dealing with drugs all day then trying to muster up energy here was too hard to do.

hopefully this will give us a good enough space to do more of what i love in a biger more productive way :)
 
I gave up modding for the same reason. Doing it for a job means you don't really want to think about it in your down time. All the best with your future in the real life AOD world.
 
Apologies for not getting to this sooner Mick but RL has been taking up more and more of my time. :(

You have been a great asset to this site and your work, both on and off line, is truly commendable. Your desire to push Bluelight and AusDD in the right direction through your tireless dedication is something that we will forever be grateful. AusDD was shaped by users like you and it's a shame to lose another shining light from the Bluelight moderation team.

Unfortunately, the Bluelight long service plan isn't in full swing but you will be the first to receive benefits once it is. ;) (After Phase who keeps asking if he can take his 3 months over 2 years at 1/8 pay)

Top effort mate, but we all know you'll be back. This place has a habit of dragging you back in from time to time to check up on the kids.
