I get the Watson ABG 60mgs. In order to beat the time release I use the "pinch of salt" trick. I mix a little salt in with my water and for some reason the pills are easier to draw up into the rig.

My local needle exchange gives out sterile water ampoules that contain .45% sodium chloride. My question is this: would the solution be salty enough to fix my morphine with or would I have to add a little salt to it? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

please, do NOT IV pills without a micron-filter!!! don't make me smack you through the computer...

Ugh don't just go throwing salt into a solution your going to IV. I imagine that could cause a imbalance in electrolytes if you where not using the right solution for injection.

One way i beat the time release was to heat the water until before boiling, wait a sec then throw in the crushed up pills, mix up real good, add heat until you see a waxy layer form on top which you then scrape off. Repeat this twice or until it has the same consistency as water with no obvious signs of wax and then let cool to room temp. Filter through a cotton filter at first and then through 2 micron filters. That's a way Ive done it and i haven't gotten any negative effects from it unlike many people i know who end up with infections and abscesses due to not properly filtering pills.

Morphine pills in north America are dirty to inject it's just some are way worse then others. No matter what your injecting use a micron filter unless you get your stuff out of a hospital grade vial.
