if you just take Subs and do nothing about your current life, home, friends, free time then it will be a waste of time. I would take bets on how many people did a 5 day taper and stopped, changed nothing else and stayed sober. Probably .0005%. You will hear a million 5 day tapers people have done, many multiple times and they are all still using or relapsed. the environment is the biggest one of all. When Nixon was sending troops home from Vietnam it was a shock to them to see how many tested for opiates. They decided to test every soldier, those who tested positive where required to detox first before heading home. Many where heroin addicts who tested positive. They hired some people to run followups on all who tested positive and a year later the percentage using was 5%. No one believed the study, certainty not rehabs but after years of scrutiny the results where verified. They concluded the drastic change in the soldiers whole environment was the deciding factor.
