So after reading through many threads regarding piracetam and the benefits it can offer to the brain i ordered 1 kg from cerebralhealth yesterday and it was shipped today!

I hope it can do wonders for me despite the amount of mdma i used for a year and a half( approx300-500 pills)spreading the days. I know i went off too much >.<

I have been clean of MDMA since the start of 2011(3m and a half) and i look forward to keeping it that way till my brain fully recovers. Right now i take only triple strength fish oil. I used to take 5-htp during my last 5 month binge but i decided to stop(dont know if thats a good idea). I also smoke weed too, from 4-7g a week.

Do you think Piracetam will benefit me under my conditions?:(

Keep doing what you're doing. Take your fish oil supplements, some 5-HTP and adding Piracetam can't hurt. I don't think there are any dangerous interactions between 5-HTP and Piracetam. There is a Big & Dandy Nootropics thread somewhere (just search 'nootropics', it'll probably be one of the top results).

You may want to hold off on the MDMA for longer than 3.5 months. If what you said is true (300-500 pills), I would not try it again til much later, maybe at the 9-12 month mark. But even then, who knows? Exercise, eat right, get plenty of sleep regularly and continue taking your supplements.

Just out of curiosity, are you suffering from any depression or mood disorders? Notice any cognitive/memory changes? Anything out of the ordinary?

I rmb abusing mdma to the point where i was e-tarded, my short term memory was fried, couldnt finish my sentences at the worst. Also, i rmb the comedown was so bad it was hard geting up everyday for the past week and all i did was stay home, smoke weed and watch tv.

But till this day, i believe i have depressive symptoms such as isolation(i barely go out anymore) and i dont talk to anyone on msn. When i go to work i have my social barriers eg... my conversations with people are not long.

Same as me I'm having s crazy anount of cognitive problems which are the root to my depression. I as the most socialable guy earlier, and this just ripped it from me, like destryoee my personality.

Nut sure if a full recovery in thee aspects come wihlth time. I was doing better until I relapsed and rolled agan.

You might want to take a very long break then. You'll probably see a lot of positive changes within the year, though I wouldn't be surprised if it took more than that to completely recover given your situation.

But everybody is different, you may or may not recover faster than others might.

Hey somedud, nice to hear from you again and i understand what your saying, it has happened to me too. When iwas on my MDMA binge after the 7th month, i would binge ever week or two, hoping i would quit but i would always find some reason to start using, whether it was chilling with my friends or going to school. I know, i overused it on many situations and at that time i thought it was okay. But all i can do now is act in the present. Also, it is because of you i decided to order my piracetam, you recommended it to me in my previous thread.

I hope your right man!

Yeah man it's got some good studies behind it. I hear you, after every weekend I'd be like "fuck this I'm done rolling" then get drunk and roll lol

But whatever I'm done with it for life now, I set myself back again by rolling after like 8 months bc I was feeling better, now is just feel stupid lol but I'm noticing improvements daily almost now, but albeit slowly. Like I said man, time, time and more time. Its the only real cure, supps help too, and exercise is crucial!

There are those of us that had all of those things prior to mdma, and that seemed to fix them. I wonder what the correlation is.

I had severe PTSD from a very long and messed up childhood. Sounds like an emo sob story, I know. :)

Sleep issues, constant fear, flashbacks, couldn't pay attention, all that jazz. After taking mdma a few times and having some long talks with close friends, all that stopped for me almost overnight.

That's why I respect it so much.

improvments

I have had similar changes in my personality and thinking from the ecstasy usage over the years. I stopped taking it so much 2 years ago, rolled here and there, but its been 6 months since the last time i have taken one and im not planning on taking any other ones in the future.
I believe there is recovery from ecstasy effects on the brain but it really does take a long time. The main key is not to take any ecstasys when you want to really get back in shape. Most people in this forums give great advices and i would point them also, healthy food (fruits and vegetables), exercise and give it TIME! Also practice whatever you feel bad about, for example socilizing, feeling unhappy; well do something so you feel happy, in time your brain will adapt to the new situations you expose it to.
I would have to say that time has really helped me improve my recovery. It is not the same, but its not so much different, im still the same person with my name on it ;) .

Based on my experiences with memory and dissociation from MDMA, I personally believe that these stories of MDMA as a magic cure for PTSD have the same cause as the damage. A little bit of damage to your memory and association wiring might free you from your past and obsessions. Too much, or for healthy people, and they feel ripped from themselves.
