A question for all mdma experts pleasee!

start jogging, get out and find something FUN to do when you are not working, and this is not only for MDMA recovery, this is for life...

oh by the way, cut the weed off, at least on weekends, ppl seem to think they are doing no harm when smoking weed, but cant remeber sht, weed fucks your memory too, pretty badly, may be not long term, but it isnt really helping to recover your memory.

Johniebwoi -

I can tell 2 things about you-

1 - You're a reasonable and intelligent person. (Except for the whole "3-5" thing. That's a lot of scratch. And there's not a very good chance it was doing you any good after a certain point. I've only been on one true binge, and after a certain point, there wasn't much left to the sensation of it.)

2 - If you maintained that dosage, you really overdid it (you know that), and would need a CAT scan to assess any real damage. I'm worried about the heating and cooling of your brain - and running it that hot for that long.

Hopefully you were somewhat cautious about things.

10 people will give you 10 different pieces of advice, but we can all agree on one thing - HEAL. Take time off, get completely clean, and work your body and mind. Detox man. You'll be back up on your feet and feeling better. Physical exertion is good for the mind too if your body can take it.

I'm 29, and have lost track of the number of times I've rolled. But you just gotta respect your own body and mind first and foremost!

stop smoking weed or cut back a lot it can increase anxiety/depression that you have because of your mdma abuse

^^ CT scan nor MRI could pick up any damage from MDMA or overheating, only good for gross structural changes.

Take my advice, if you wanna hear my story check my threads in my profile, I've got alot of posts, I'm a worrier. :P

You know Im bluelights current "Bean Eatin Champion", Id same Im quite the expert on MDMA damage at this point. ;)

How about "Resident Ex-Etard" for label? =D j/k

To the OP:

-Quit weed, a lot of former heavy MDMA users find that weed makes the memory problems last longer.
-Join a gym, you need to change your sedentary lifestyle. Working to survive + play games + smoke weed is not a good lifestyle, and I am not even putting MDMA abuse in the equation.
-Look into getting some Piracetam, I would say it's one of the most effective nootropics for drug induced mental performance problems. UTFSE for dosing information and user reports.

You should start feeling a lot better in 3 months or so, especially if you follow the advice above.

I'm sure all this has been said but I'm guna say it anyway

You're life plan for the next few months:
Stop smoking weed, I found after a few weeks of not smoking I became much more social and had more to talk about.

Exercise for at least 10/20 minutes a day, get your heart racing. A lot of people who were in the same situation as you say this is very beneficial for recovery.

Eat healthy (not just vitamin supplements), fish is supposedly very good.

Try and get out of the house, doing nothing will slow your recovery.

Get enough sleep, like 7/8 hours a night.

I'm sure you would rather not do most of the things listed but if you really want to recover it should help. This isn't going to happen over night, but each month you should feel a bit better.

^^ also avoid worrying, and I find at the end of the day writing down a journal of my day with every detail I can think of intailed, and kind of turn it into a story (explaining the situations, the emotional feel, tone of things etc..) helps loads with my short term memory, and spikes your creativity and writing skills. Try writing neat too, that's helps with spatial skills, similar to dancing which is readily refered to people who've sufferered strokes and TBIs (activates different regions of your brain for plasticity).. Reading a book outloud helps to with my verbal fluency (as well as multi tasking [focusing on plot and tone of voice for expression] which is a good workout for your frontal lobes) which translate over to social situations and not slurring, stuttering or mixing up your words which is a common symptom of abuse, and can be quite embarrassing IMO.. All these things help me greatly, even though there not typical things to do, but neither is abusing.

That and what was mentioned above and I'll be shocked if you never seen vast leaps in a mere 1-3 months. Remember though, you've got to commit, nothing comes easy.

Cheers.

^^ yeee but their like $20,000 for the government to conduct one haha good luck getting a neurologist to put you on that list for drug abuse. :P

:p we'll just apply for a federal study grant. everyone else I knew in college seemed to be able to get one.... some of them were unbelievably ridiculous...

I find weed helps a lot when you're recovering. When your coming off a period of heavy use so many activities like music and video games don't feel near as enjoyable as they use to and weed totally helps with that.
But the thing is in the past 2 years when I smoke weed very close to when I last took mdma, like say a few days to a few weeks after, there's a lot more anxiety when I'm high. But after a certain amount of time passes it's possible to smoke weed again without all that bad anxiety.

I started taking mdma in highschool and my worse period of abuse was a couple times a week for like a few months. Back in highschool whenever I would smoke weed after a roll it would be so enjoyable but now, like I said, if I don't give myself enough of a gap after I last took mdma, then weed just makes my anxiety a lot worse. Just wait a month or two after you last took mdma and then start smoking weed and it'll definitely make things easier when you're recovering. I think the main things to avoid are alcohol and stimulants. Weed doesn't mess with serotonin so I don't see how it would be that bad for you during your recovery.

Thanks to all for sharing information, i literally felt like i had multiple orgasms reading some of the posts.

I feel as though i don't talk as much anymore as i did before the MDMA days, i think i limited my social barriers? i cant really carry a long conversation with anyone for long,(3-7 sentence conversations) despite the fact that ive always been known as a friendly- easy going person.

so my question is, what are some ways i can treat this issue?

:)

Wouldn't we all like to k ow.. My best guess would be to study and use our mind, with time as your intellect picks up, you'll be able to elaborate on certain things in social situations, make sense?
