A question about HPPD

Greetings everyone.
Since march I have tripped almost every week, either on lsd, 2c-b, dmt, shrooms, mdma or ketamine.
Now, for some time I have started to notice some change in my perception of the world. It is generally more "Trippy" in a positive way. I also see weak tracers, after images, some patterns and breathing surfaces. This isn't a problem and I'm quite happy about it actually. But I wonder, is this considered HPPD? Or does it have to come with other mental problems like anxiety?

I think it would be considered hppd, non visual problems are not essential for it to be called hppd. It will also probably subside after 6-months to a year if you abstain from hallucinogens. I would also say it is primarily the dmt or lsd that is responsible for it....what do you think?

If you went to your doctor and explained it all, then it would be HPPD. If you take it as your awareness developing through learning, then it's not HPPD, it's growth and change. HPPD is just a medical term to label an observed memory phenomena.

I don't consider it a problem, but it can be a bit distracting. I often end up just spacing out while looking at them some times. I've gotten quite used to it at least.

I've been having similar issues. I used amphetamines and psychedelics (LSD, mushies, DMT, DIPT, AMT, 2c-x etc etc) heavily for the past six years. Stone cold sober I notice that shadows and patterns on fabrics will shift around. I also have the constant static covering most everything. It doesn't really impact my day to day life however it has been concerning. 3 weeks ago I rolled on MDMA for well over 8 days, which greatly exacerbated my symptoms. Does anyone have suggestions about what could relieve the constant perceptual hallucinations or is time really the only solution? Thanks so much! <3 J

I used to do a gram of DMT every 2 days for about a month straight. No HPPD here. And I have a huge anxiety disorder.
I'd be its from the 2C-B and/or LSD. Haven't touched ketamine. And I used to abuse MDMA. Love my mushrooms. But my visuals always subside.

I would say that you have what is the beggining of an HPPD type situation. Like they said above HPPD is just something they use to label these issues from overusing psychedelics. It varies between all individuals and it can be bad or good. Just realizie that if you continue using psychedelics every week, these symptoms will most likely get stronger, for better or worse. I would take a little break personally, as you wil most likely lose the magic of these substances eventually.

Tracers, lasting visual impressions, patterns and breathing surfaces sounds like HPPD. Much like the visuals experienced with psychedelics, they are not as prominent, distracting, or noticeable as one might suspect until they experience them first hand. HPPD does not have to occur with other symptoms such as anxiety or whatever else may come from a psychedelic, and is generally contained to altered visuals while sober.
