A potentially stupid question -- Xenon?

I was just browsing wikipedia articles, and I was reading about Xenon. Apparently it's used as an anesthetic, "50% more potent than N2O". Also, like the other recreational dissociatives, Xenon is an NMDA antagonist.

So, my question is, has anyone ever actually tried this gas as a recreational drug? I know it's probably expensive as golden shit, but still, you never know.

Theres a trip report on erowid somewhere. Effects are almost identical to nitrous oxide, marginally more potent but xenon is like 100x more expensive, so a rather high price for a 30 second buzz...

LOL yeah, xenon = way too expensive to catch a buzz off of :D

But apparently most of the inert gasses are active as NMDA antagonists-- xenon doesn't seem to be unique in that respect. I remember reading some discussion about that in ADD a while ago, it might be worth searching for.

I think it's actually recycled when used for anesthesia! But why's it even used at all, if it's so similar to N2O?

when im on acid and nitrous i get this complete and whole feeling like everything in the universe is at cosmic equilibrium... then to say the noble gases which are like impossible to make react with something, which has a full octet, has the same effect.
