A poem for the opiate naive to consider

It has man. Even if it just reaffirms for someone in here why they don't use right now or if it reminds someone of why they need to stop, thats helping someone. And with all the replies in here, it looks like mission accomplished. Nice work man.

Shared this with a young girl, well 27 and young to me! Anyway she read it and the tears began to flow. I thought she was not going to stop, but once she was under control of herself she copied it to her facebook page and cried some more. She is addicted to oxycodone and homeless to boot but gets money to buy pills by selling the only thing she has. The worse part is that I taught her in middle-school. But like me she saw herself in many of the lines and the tears flowed.

Have another girl I am going to share it with and if I know her she will also be crying by the end.

Edge,

Thanks for the post, I hope it helps her move forward. I'll be interested to hear what the other one thinks. Thank you for taking this out of this forum and sharing it in your life.
