Gaba and 5-HTP haven't had any interactions.

Currently taking Gaba, 5-HTP, Fish Oil, Borage Oil, Flaxseed Oil, and Krill oil.

Would there be any concern for a healthy individual taking these with Tramadol?

As always, this is a theoretical concern that has nothing to do with myself.

you should not take tramadol with 5-htp as it may increase your risk of serotonin syndrome (in theory). tramadol is certainly contraindicated with ssri antidepressants because they increase you serotonin (much more than 5-htp).

Thanks for your response, was hoping to get a response that wasn't based on research.

I did take the tramadol but I waited 6 hours after I took the 5-htp.

I have taken 300 mg so far and all is fine with no symptoms (negative that is ;) )

Do you know if gaba would be alright mixed? I know tramadol inhibits gaba-a but most searches just yield tons of spam. As do most med searches...

Ill keep this updated for the rest of the session.

I did develop a negative symptom, I feel my brain is overstimulated with seratonin, this developed when I turned on some drum and bass and layed down, my sub is under my bed, lol.

I also felt nauseated but I haven't eaten since this morning, eating some tortilla chips and dip made it subside.

In my head, a very heavy feeling and almost dysphoria but the euphoria is still very strong and enjoyable.

As it is known seratonin syndrome is likely, I recommend anyone who is going against the recommendation of no to read up on seratonin syndrome to be ready for any negative side effects.

I don't recommend taking chances like that, I'm just intrigued by curiosity :P

Be very careful with the 5HTP and Tramadol.. Not really worth the risks. Definately can cause serotonin syndrome.

Woke up really refreshed. But I took 2 doses of 200 mg today of tramadol only and I got really sick. Nauseated almost wanna puke. Gonna go get a mountain dew. Hopefully that'll help usually does the trick.
