I stand on the edge and exhale,
The ocean below watching passively.
Away in the distance I can see
All the stricken rigid concrete towers
That mock this natural haven.
Memories of pain and belitelment
Evapourate and leave my body with the wind
As the muscular waves of the endless blue plain before me
Bludgeon into the rocks below.
In this place I am perilously close to anihilation
Yet I feel infinetly more alive
Than I have ever felt while dwelling amongst that brooding patchwork scrapheap of concrete,
That place which so many of my kind call home.
I stare deeper out into the blue wilderness
Certain that the answers I seek await me
Hidden under the turbulent surface.
And so I dive deeper into my psychosis
Deeper,
Deeper........
I step back from the edge
But metaphorically I know I have stepped forward,
One step closer to death.
One step farther from immortality.
