Info A little more clarification needed in regards to sourcing?

So I recently moved to my city and I was checking out the North America social boards. I wanted to write a post asking other BL who live in my area about bars, clubs etc that I could check out and hopefully meet ppl who are similarly open minded about the types of things I'm into. I just wasn't sure if it was okay to ask and felt like I should check instead of just posting and then feeling like an idiot for breaking the rules.

If you're just asking for info on the area as far as business establishments go, you should be fine. If you're looking to actually meet up with some people with 'similar interests', then you may run into some issue, as this enters the grey area of fringe sourcing. Hope that helps clarify.

I used to mod that forum and I still overlook it as senior mod so I'm very familiar with such threads. We don't allow any meet-up threads, and so unless you are genuinely interested in which bars are good in the area then I wouldn't start a thread about that. Also, there are probably better sites to use if you are just wondering about good bars in the area.
