A funny question about blotter

Hey everyone,

So I got to work this morning and just got a text message from a friend that I thought was worth sharing. I lol'd.

It reads: "I have a question. If you accidentally cook blotter in the microwave, does it lose its effect?"

:D:D:D

I didn't know how this was possible, but I learned later it was stuck to the bottom of some frozen chicken...=D

It's definitely likely, LSD is very sensitive and the microwave could cause it to degrade at a very fast rate.
Doesn't hurt to try it though.

EDIT: now the bigger question, why was it stuck to frozen chicken, like was it still in a bag or was a strip just sitting around in the freezer haha

LOL!!! I don't know what's funnier - the fact your mate microwaved a blotter at all, or the fact it was stuck to some frozen chikkun!

Who knows, maybe it turned into some sort of new super potent compound "LSF - Lysergic Acid Fowlemide"

Apparently the plastic the chicken was wrapped in stuck to the plastic the blotter was wrapped in. Without realizing, my friend put the chicken in the microwave and set it to high, only to learn it was the high to end all highs :D

It could probably degrade, LSD has a dipole moment for example at the amide C=O and chemicals that are polar can heat up due to alignment with the microwave field. However it would probably require some time before it would actually heat up to degrading temperatures.

Wow this thread made me lol, if it was indeed LSD I hate to break it to you but it's more than likely ruined. If it was an NBOME or DOx it still may be ruined but phens are way more stable than lysergamides so there may be some hope for that poor chicken blotter, there's only one way to find out really. Haha it would be funny if the material absorbed into the chicken, that would be some funky chicken =D

Well the amount of time to defrost a frozen chicken is quite a bit, so I bet it was in the microwave exposed to the high energy for over 3 minutes, maybe more

Hello everybody. I am writing to you from the world of information. I can now tell you for certainty that if you microwave blotter and eat it, it still works... I don't know the science like you beautiful people, but my feelings tell me yes. Very yes.

Soft landing.
Friend said it was in the microwave for 2 minutes. The blotter was a little golden brown, looked and tasted cooked. I felt very confident it wouldn't work, which in a sense may have made it better since my expectations were so low. From what I could tell, there were no indications of degradation.

Whether the substance itself can be heated by a microwave is surely irrelevant as anything else that it is contact with would heat it by simple conduction - e.g. the chicken.

Maybe the chicken just didn't get that hot, if it was only defrosted rather than cooked then that may have rescued the goodness!
