Any help on the following would be greatly appreciated. I took 100 mg of tramadol 3 days ago at night, 150 mg of tramadol 2 days ago at night, and then about 20mg of oxycodone last night. All three experiences were great and no ill effects at all. Then I took 150mg tonight (50 mg at 6PM, 50 mg at 6:30 and 50 mg at 7PM). I started noticing the effects like the previous times taking tramadol and was feeling that pleasant fuzzy feeling all over the body. Around 7:30, I began feeling lightheaded (like the beginning of the feelings one would get if one were to pass out) and started sweating noticeably, maybe a little trouble breathing (not sure if it was in my head), and feeling twitchy and cold. I want to know if I should be worried or do anything given the abnormal recent occurrences that I do not normally experience given the situation. I would appreciate any input.

Are you on any other medication? Any psych meds? Just want to rule out any possible contraindications

The symptoms you've described are common side effects of tramadol. These aren't too much to worry about but like most opioids, respiratory depression is always a risk and should be taken into account - it can get dangerous. Tramadol also lowers your seizure threshold which is different for everyone. Some people function fine on high doses and some can experience seizures at relatively low doses.

Be careful. Respiratory effects and any signs of seizure need to be taken seriously.

The side effects seem to have passed and the warm fuzziness is still there. Just seemed strange that a dose that has been taken multiple times before would cause adverse effects. Thanks for the info

Those are normal side effects of a high dose of tramadol, possibly exacerbated by low blood sugar or tiredness. It is also possible that your liver is converting tramadol to its active metabolite more effectively because you have exposed it to tramadol multiple times. Make sure to have eaten something recently, and don't do tramadol if you are very tired.

In future please don't SWIM.
