A few questions for alcoholics, former alcoholics, or real frequent drinkers

So alcohol as we all know is probably the most abused drug in the world, people start drinking at an early age usually and some may use it responsibily as they get older or others might not. As someone who is young and just turned 21 (and not allowed to drink because parents are muslim and very very religious) unless i drink when they don't see, just moved to a new city and starting college in a few weeks. Anyways that isn't relevant, i have drank quiet a bit after turning 18 all the way up till 20 and i am intrigued by the side effects and things i found about alcohol that i ever knew so heres a few questions

1) What do most alcoholics feel like on a daily basis even when they have alcohol
2) I've learned that alcohol can cause a lot of people to become shaky or have sudden body movements if their alcoholics or sometimes frequent drinkers, however when i have been around a few alcoholics i notice that they are not shaky at all and seem completely normal so how does that work?
3) Is it normal for alcoholics to have rectal bleeding? I have had a few old friends told me about bleeding and i didn't believe it because it just sounds so odd to me
4) Do most alcoholics throw up (vomit) frequently, or not?
5) And last of all i have never blacked out and have been drunk around 40 times, even with no tolerance i would take shots after shots till i have taken 15 just to experience a black out and the only thing i would be left with is alcohol poisoning, so do you have to drink regularly to experience black outs?

I know some of the questions aren't your typical questions but i am trying to observe and get to know more about certain things about alcohol since i am going to be surrounded by many people who drink probably over the next few years

Thanks! XD

1) It feels like life is flying by. Slight head ache. I personally have not gone longer than a few weeks without eventually tapering off. Am I happy? That's not really a question I ask myself. I feel content, but in the back of my mind there is an overbearing scream shouting, "You have to find a way to quit." followed by a whimper, "I do not want to feel hurt." I guess the two balance themselves out. Leaving me with a destructive, careless substance that dictates my actions.

2) Tremors. Some get it bad, some don't. It's withdrawal mostly from my knowledge.

3) I don't know?

4) I honestly never have thrown up from alcohol. Well. Once, because I was trying to down the rest of a bottle of jack daniels. The high intake of alcohol expands the esophagus. Air bubble = Blaaahh. Quite embarrassing, it ruined my perfect record.

5) I never black out unless Benzos are involved.

1) in the morning feel a bit crappy, dry mouth and a bit nauseous. Usually some codeine fixes all this.
There have been many times I've woken up and still be drunk from the night before.

2)I know a lot of alcoholics and it varies. Some shake and others are very still.

3)I wouldn't put down recital bleed to drinking. The only time I've had recital bleeding is due to opiated.

4) I rarely throw up while drinking.

5) I've never blacked out.

I've been drinking pretty much continuously for 19 years on a average 12 beers weeknight and 1/12 slabs a weekend.

Having anxiety issues already, the worst thing about drink was that enough would cause a hangover the next day that seriouslly maginifed my anxiety. Im not sure why or how this works but it stopped me drinking spirits. A few beers doesnt cause this.

1) I honestly found the world (and myself) to be an insufferable place for the most part. Alcohol assuaged some of that despondency, albeit temporarily. As I've gotten older, my general worldview and self-perception has vastly improved. I am most certainly still an alcoholic, but I don't need it to feel "ok". I was/am a daily drinker, and I have been drinking since the age of 10. I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with it. My biggest regrets have always been done while under the influence of alcohol, which is interesting since it's the most socially acceptable substance.
2) I am very susceptible to shakes and DT (delerium tremens). It is a symptom of withdrawl. I have even had a seizure. Perhaps some people aren't as sensitive, but that's not the case for me. Even if I drink a six-pack, my hands will be shaky the next day. But I'm also a girl, and alcohol actually affects women adversely moreso than men. I don't know if that necessarily applies to the withdrawl symptoms, though. Because I'm still young, I don't think I've done any irreprable damage to my liver. Thankfully it's one heck of a resilient organ, and I'm still pretty young!
3) I know countless alcoholics, and I've never heard of this being the case. Certainly hasn't happened to me.
4) In the beginning, yes. Now, no amount of alcohol can cause me to vomit. I will, however, pass out abruptly, almost as if my body is shutting down. In fact, I've been hospitalized several times because I was in a "light coma".
5) I've been blacking out since I started drinking, though I guess they'd be considered "brown outs". But I do blackout frequently.

Anyway, this is just my experience. :)

wow these are fabulous responses, and answer all my questions i hope some of you guys can quit because alcohol can kill you in the long run, shut down your liver etc im sure you guys know more than i do, is it physically painful daily when you are an alcoholic or just mentally?

1. Ill, sometimes. Generally unhappy.

2. Symptoms of withdrawal. The severity will depend on the person, and how many times they have withdrawn from alcohol before (kindling syndome).. It's actually really bad for you. Some people get it even after short, heavy binges (weekend binge drinkers).

3. Rectal bleeding? Maybe REALLY bad alcoholics get this.. but it's normally a sign of something else.

4. With tolerance build up you will be less likely to throw up from drinking too much. But everyone will have their limit.

5. Na I don't think you need to drink regularly to have blackouts.. just drink enough.. and being tired will help.. I never really got it from alcohol but benzodiazepines are another story..
