I was just wondering why the current batch of cid is called Timothy Leary. Is there a story behind it? Is this man a drug pioneer of something?
Also Hoffmans: I am guessing that they are the 'mitzas' of cid, but what is the print, and where did they originate? Any help would be great, thanks

Timothy Leary Checkout: Yes he was a pioneer

The first acid trip ever was the one unwittingly taken by its creator, Dr Albert Hoffman, in Switzerland in 1943. Having accidentally ingested some LSD - either by breathing in dust or through his skin pores - while working in his laboratory, Hoffman was pedalling home on his bicycle when the drug began to work
See:

for more lsd history.
Hoffmans are a very strong trip usually aprox 240micrograms but the Get A Fix trips are stronger.
I think hoffmans have a picture of a guy on a bicycle.
Hope that helps dude.

If you like Hoffmans & Get a Fix's, then you should really try Fat Freddy's! Guaranteed to take you to the "other side".

Fill whats empty, empty whats full, and if its itchy - scratch it!

yes, please read about these amazing pioneers. if you want a good book on LSD i'd suggest "Storming Heavan" its gives a great history and really shows how important the early work with LSD was and is.
oh and last time i checked Dr Hoffman was still alive and living in Switzerland.. he's 94 and is still going stong... yup its the evil drugs that are going to kill us early isnt it? um maybe its other lifestyle things i think.....

Mr. Horse...

OK , here is what i heard about 6months ago when i had these babies :
Apparently , there was a huge picture (portrait or something) of timothy leary and it was dipped in acid , then cut up into thousands of little trips
smile.gif
. Well, that's what i _heard_...don't know how true it is , but hey , when you're trippin , it doesn't really matter now , does it?
Enjoy them....*sigh*, memories......

my dad had timothy leary as a lecturer at university!!! as a science prac he was told to take acid and go to a party... he spent the whole night lying on a persian rug and watching the pretty colours float by... getafixes are crazy... ahhhh the perils of a youth well spent

hehe...shame on you horsey
wink.gif

reminds me of something i heard on the radio yesterday...some guy had written to the station and asked if they could repeat a comedy sketch they had played a few weeks earlier because "those guys 'Abbot and Costello' are really funny...will they be touring Australia soon?"

yeah, its pretty slack of me, but your responces have been great. Thanks guys. You know, you gotta learn the urban myths somewhere right?
wink.gif

They both sound like pretty funny guys and eds-hed: by reading up on timothy leary, I find it pretty hard to believe that your statement is true, so sorry dude.
Thanks again guys and if you wanna check out a trippy site, go to trippiest site on the net: www.acidtrip.com - Actually, im sure most of you knew about it. cheers

Hi all!
A friend of mine! has a photo of a sheet of 100 T.Leary's from about 2 years ago, it was set on a black spacey type background with a side profile picture of Mr Learys head,(He looked pretty old {he also had a bit of a goaty type beard.)) this took up probably half to three quarters of the sheet with the other part of the sheet having lots of multi colured musical type notes, 1 musical note for each square, approx thirty or so musical notes.
Also had the Hothman 2000's which where light green with a blue line art type picture of a guy on a bicycle, 4 single trips made up 1 hothman on a bike!
I found these to be quite strong, only needing a quater to put a smile on yer face!
Rhumba.

The GetAFixes are DEFINITELY stronger than the Hoffman's...Both have been tried and tested...on unwitting humans...me and my friends!! he he he....
Fat Freddy's hey? *dialing* ....hello dd...Can ya get me some Fat Freddy's???????? Pleeeeeeeease......
GeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeA!

Plastikman and Mikey P can definately recommend the Timothy Learys (nice, not so strong fun trips)
The Hoffmann's rock, but are certainly a mind fuck.
Getafixes are a class above the Hoffmann's- take with caution!
I've got my Leary and CK's for Saturday night. Anyone who wants to come to a cheap, fun party should check us out at Aural Sets at the Bridge Mall Inn, Ballarat.
Check out www.alphabeat.com.au for all of the details.

Lips / Mouths are fukken good too.
Very hallucinogenic and a bit of a headfuck
at first everything is just really funny, then the visuals kick in. Everything turning into patterns in front of me, lots of stuff turning into liquid and melting, psy-trance sounding even amazinger than usual and far more complicated...heard parts of it I'd never noticed before. My reflection was doing scary stuff though. head going all huge fist of the northstar style and even though it was me...it wasn't, it was like my evil twin or sumthing ha. And it waved at me while my hands were in my pockets, bahhh
stupid reflection always haunting me
Aargh and I had to go to work tripping off my skull still the next morning. ack

acid .!!!!!! oohhhhhhh...small question..who wrote "storming heavan" ..johnyboy..?
aus riders..acid dream..who wrote it ..thanks keep smiling

Here is my little bit of info regarding the underground of LSD.
LSD that we get here in Australia is almost never made here, if it is then it most likely has many impurities, including perhaps some toxic ergo-amines. Anyway, there are four types of crystal acid that most people initially produce. This acid is created in Labs by chemists with a good heart and some free time on their hands. Most good LSD is made from Switzerland, although I think that the lab there no longer exports to America. The crystal is at worst a brown/red powder, the better grade LSD is chunky white light brown/yellow crystaline powder, this is what most of the better stuff in Australia is made from, Hoffmans where low dose, high grade LSD when they first came out, though to taste the power you need to get your hands on the trips as soon as they are released, because the LSD decomposes rather quickly. The top grade stuff, pure LSD crystal, what Sandoz labs used to make, and what you never get anymore, is a pure, clear sheet crystal. If you where to eat a pin heads worth of this crystal, you would be tripping for about four days!
wink.gif

Once the people receive the LSD, an envelope full of the stuff would be worth a lot of money, so importing crystal is really easy, and far more cost effective then importing tabs. Depending on the importation method( I won't go into this because people usually look over this). Anywya, once you get the powder you dissolve it in ethanol and dip sheets of paper into it, wait until it is absobed, or just pull it out when you want to, this lowers the absorbtion and lowers the dose. Anyway, that is my tidbit on LSD. Hope it enlightens people!

I want to inform you all that I do not endorse or practice any of the information presented above.

Love you all!

wow i'd be suprised if the swiss are still making pharmaceutical grade LSD25, i thought they'd be too uptight for that now, but i could be wrong...
heres the details on that book and some others of note:

Acid Dreams : The Complete Social History of Lsd : The Cia, the Sixties, and Beyond
by Martin A. Lee, Bruce Shlain
Grove Press; ISBN: 0802130623

altho both these books contain much of the same information its good to read them both to get different versions of the same events...

Are there get-a-fix's going around?
Only have gotten Sunflowers & Hoffmans lately, but Mr. Tambourine Man says there is a whole batch of something new coming through.
Acid Dreams is definitely a brilliant book to read for major info on that special chemical. Mwah to lsd.
Here's an interesting interview with Timothy Leary I've had in my bookmarks for over two years. Not about lsd, but interesting nonetheless.
