a cloud, from me to you

these disparate clouds
travelling
dreams made solid
unsullied
still-life in motion
this cloud, looking down
on me reaching up
arms outstretched; nothing
this cloud, looking down
on you; i know not where
hands clasped; another time
and i wander, these clouds travelling
my thoughts of you, to you
and i wonder, this cloud shared
will we both live it?
and
i wish this cloud on you
loving over you as i do.
for all of u away from home, for all of u who know what it's like to miss a loved one; to wonder about each other's days apart: this is a poem for u.
i wrote this tonight for madmonkey

Thanks Vurt. Made me smile - Cuddlefish has been away for 4 1/2 weeks... :(
Beautiful work as always - you have a fine sense of rhythm and pace and I enjoy the way you convey such complex emotions with such simplicity (not just this poem, but also the others posted the same day).

i was in an unusual bittersweet mood when i wrote this.
recently i have been missing friends(and an ex gf) and home. when i sat down to write this, i was sitting next to a good friend who is going away too. so this was meant to have a well-wishing/comforting kinda feel to it (though i think the title sounds like something outta a hallmark card :D ).
im really glad it brighten up ur day if just that little bit.
thanx! :)
