I didn't want to bog hte board witha whole bunch of different posts, so here's one with a bunch of stuff I've written. Some of it's kinda dark. And cheesey. But I hope you'll enjoy anyhow.
Slipped through My fingers:
My hands empty,
And here I sit.
Grasping at nothing,
Trying to take hold.
My eyes dart about
Looking, and noticing
That it’s already gone.
My hands empty,
And here I lay.
Letting it fall back again
With my eyes closed.
My thoughts flicker:
Yes and no, who’s to say?
Would it have made a difference?
My hands empty,
And here I stand.
Bending back and forth in the wind.
___
(untitled)
Let the veil fall
All around the ghosts sing
And nothing to fill my cup
Why, I ask, stuttering…
The truth is not for comprehension
Nor comprehending for truth’s sake
They sing, ever vigilant
Laughing, I sip
And know that making
Is unmaking, elsewhere.
The truth is not for telling,
Nor telling for truths sake
And hiding is as hidden does.
So lies are love, I ask, laughing
And the room falls silent.
Let the veil rise
All around the ghosts whisper
And nothing to fill my heart.
___
Come:
Come with me to the moon.
Gaze upon the endless silver seas with me,
And we will keep each other close
As we watch the world pass from view.
If you will take my hand, I will take you.
Reach for me and I will hold.
But you must make sure to hold tight,
And we will rely on each other's strength.
Focus yourself on your grip,
For uncertainty will let you slip.
Then we shall certainly be divided
By the dark, cold emptiness of the vacuum.
But hold fast and strong,
And together we will see things unimaginable,
Things thought and things dreamt,
We will experience, true and whole.
Yet even as the destination arrives,
Still my hold I strengthen,
For as traveling may have an end,
Our journeys forever begin anew.
