I was scared for my life. My heart rate got up to 170+BPM with CONSTANT heart palpitations. Thought I could have a heart attack and die at any moment. Haven't touched edibles since and will never again, can't risk this happening again. It sucks because I love edibles. Anyone else have a bad experience like this with edibles?

certainly stay away from them, not worth the risk.

was there caffeine in them? taking any other meds? panic attack? higher effect than expected? did you redose too early?

I've always found edibles to be inconsistently dosed personally, but even when I mistakenly once took 100mg rather than 10mg with no tolerance all I ended up doing was going to lay down and cling on to the bed.

never had high BPM or palpitations, some anxiety with certain strains, and mild brief panic is about the worst it's ever been.

I take psychiatric medications for my depression and anxiety, I never had a panic attack in my life. It was definately a higher effect than expected. Because 10mg is a standard lower end dose, designed for those with no tolerance. I have some tolerance, I smoke from a small one hitter 5 times a day.

what psych meds? if they're for anxiety I would have thought they would more likely help rather than create panic attacks, but I guess it depends, some meds can have paradoxical side effects.

given you're smoking regularly I'd have thought you'd be able to manage a higher than expected effect mentally, though if it were LOTS higher if might still panic you. Just because you haven't had this before doesn't mean it can't suddenly start to happen, people and bodies age & change

Honestly I would go and talk to a Dr if you were worried by this event or if you start getting them frequently , I'm not a doctor so don't use this to guide you:- I've got a heart condition and 1 of the effects is palpitations, my cardiologist told me occasional short duration is normal (my recollection is that he meant for everyone not me specifically), but they shouldn't be sustained or too frequent, you might have an underlying medical condition that needs checking out and your edible just hit in the right way at the right time (pick a random reason:- low hydration, high dose, empty stomach, being tired etc etc), and it might just have been enough for it to show itself.

I can't remember the other psych meds I am on because I have amnesia and my mom handles my meds, but I DO remember that I am on 1mg klonopin twice a day for anxiety.

This is my experience with weed, period. I take edibles that are not over 1.5mg in THC. I have 10:1 ratioed gummies at 10mg CBD and 1mg THC. I love the effects of CBD (for my anxiety), and VERY low amounts of THC are helpful, but the slightest bit too much triggers a panic attack for me. Gummies hit harder and for longer due to conversion in the liver, but the consistency is why I like them, one hit from a J sends me into panic mode every time.

I decarbed some delta9 thc and can only take a small and I mean small bud and it's still too potent. Always taken it before bed.

One time woke up and head was spinning.

Next day feeling flat, lazy, just want to do nothing even if I do something the feeling is unmotivated.

Not sure it is does something to dopamine

Smoking it works.

May explore again but at a much smaller dose, and it's already been small bc spitting it brown stuff and coughing well that's what decarbed thc , edibles, same thing are for.

Decarbed CBD as well and for some reason not much of an effect.

You don't belong using cannabis if you don't even know your own medicines you take and your mom does them for you.

I have two autistic nephews.

Drugs are for educated, responsible, caring people that know the risks and benefits and weigh them.

Even then, there's a lot of un responsible crackheads on this forum that use so many drugs, in insane doses, combinations that have come and gone and continue to do so.

Cannabis boosts my mental health more than the psych meds do alone. It eliminates my depression and anhedonia and makes me actually enjoy life again.

That's great. I think the same, eap certain strains with combined terpenes at specific time's of the day, preferred.

That said, if you don't know what psych meds you are on and how they work, this is bad, and the fact your mom manages psych meds for you,
Shows lack of responsibility. Maybe you have autism or are you mentally unable to do the research and look up the psych meds your on ?

I have severe amnesia, that's why my mom takes care of my meds for me.

You may have just green out and had reverse tolerance which happens too me. Oh yeah not to mention those psych drugs made weed much more powerful for me especially abilify.
