71 dead found in a truck abandoned in Austria

Nowhere to go? How about one way tickets to Saudi Arabia or Turkey, they are wealthy countries that can accomodate their lifestyle better than Vienna.

Hopefully others thinking of coming to Europe see this and think of other potential destinations.

What do you suppose they should do with them now? Guard them like prisoners? Let them starve to death? Straight up shoot them dead? It seems these countries are not applying the manpower and resources to vet the people that are already within their borders. Doing nothing or actually provoking them whether overtly or through more surreptitious ways will only lead to anger and violence.

No, the second article link didnt work for me.
The first one was pure cynical welfare-bashing cynicism from the sort of creeps that make a career out of peddling such trash.
Bash the source? You bet. It's crap.

Exposing a scheme where housing benefit claimaints sublet propertoes for upwards of $4,000 a week is "welfare bashing"?

Or is it a bit unfair for these "asylum seekers" to make 4 times the UK average salary while not gaving to do a single minute of work ?

If you want to talk about unfair, have a look at australia's barbaric treatment of refugees - it is an international disgrace, but presumably more to your liking - rape, torture, gagging of press freedom.

Consider the horror from which these people are fleeing.
Or the roor cause of the circumstances that led to them leaving their homelands (such as...the US/UK led invasion of Iraq). You think the UK doesnt have some responsibility to help these people?

You only need to glance over the article you've posted to see that you're picking a fight with pregant women.
How dignified of you.

If you consider the horror in their homelands they should be thrilled to sleep in a tent in Italy with food and water. Not likely they will get shot or bombed there. Also only a fraction of these asylum seekers are from places where USA is at war with, theres no longer hardly any offensive operations in Afhanistan or Iraq. Daily Mail article said Kurdish Iraqis who Saddam treated like shit and USA helped.

No UK has no respondibility to help them and they should take notes from the Italian government. Not have them living in homes that even British residents working full time cannot afford.

The Kurds were attacked with chemical weapons by Saddam when Iraq were still supported by the US during the Iraq-Iran war.
The instability in the region is without question caused by the 2003 invasion; as is the rise of ISIS.

Britain is a signatory to various international treaties on stateless people seeking asylum.

I cant be bothered elaborating any further on your reactionary baiting. Take it to Stormfront.

Its like arguing I think people should starve if I thought migrants being fed caviar everyday was ridiculous. That situation in London is ridiculous.

Luxury flats in London for asylum seekers is not covered in the international treaties.

No correlation can be proved our war cause this. Our or should I say Barak Hussein Obamas early withdrawal led to formation of ISIS. During the heyday of the war the number of migrants wasnt even this high, the end of offensive allowing terror groups to proliferate cause this.

Note the massive distinction between "migrants" and "asylum seekers".

Read the OP - this thread is about 71 innocent people suffocating to death.
Your whining is noted, but getting a fucking grip pal.

No indication these people were asylum seekers. Only one travel document on the 71 of them.

Are these people asylum seekers? No indication of the article for all we know they could have been from Monaco. Anyways, your making an assumption they are innocent. The refrigerator truck could have been a trojan horse of sorts to bring ISIS operatives into Europe. We simply don't know the facts lets not jump to conclusions.

Another decade another culture forced into living as refugees for the "locals" to fear monger against.

The irony is today's refugee legislation exists because there was a need to deal with the millions forced out of Europe following WW2. Back then it were the Germans, Italians, Greeks and even British subjects who were encouraged to transverse the globe, settling in far removed lands with differing cultures. The "Wogs" were accused of all being criminals, their food stank and they didn't want to play the same sports as the locals. However within a generation these immigrant kids were absorbed into the nation, while their strang foods and customs were eventually accepted as something exotic and exciting, rather than something distasteful. Come the 70's the mantle was passed onto the poor Vietnamese families, fleeing wars for a life with no guarantees other than less of a threat of being shot. Today there wouldn't be a community who doesn't have at least one Nguyen family who support the local football team and employ other locals in hard working businesses.

To fear a sudden influx of now Arab refugees is silly. They will eventually assimilate into your community no less than any other culture over the past 100 years. Wars create enemies, but time eventually removes entrenched xenophobia. In 20 years time Mohammed will run the best Persian restaurant in the city, while is son will star for the local team. They may still worship a different God but history shows us they are more likely to be converted to the local culture than they are of changing it adversely.

This is spoken by a migrant.

Can't think of a single 7/7, Madrid bombing, Charlie Hebdo style attack from any Europeans following the war. We are given the justification of these attacks because "we" went to war with afghanistan and iraq. You would think at least one japenese, german or italian immigrant would be pissed their family or friends were killed by allied forces and do terror attack in usa or britain but it never seemed to happen. The situations are vastly different.

What about every single attack during the war? Just because you want the battle field to be on another continent doesn't mean your enemies will not choose to attack you back.

Call me naive but Isis with all those millions of dollars generated by oil and criminal means could surely afford a plane ticket for a foot soldier rather than force them onto a leaking boat with no guarantee of survival

Trojan horse.

You need passports for plane tickets. That might alert Interpol. Why do you think only one of these people had travel documents?

If you can't think of any reasons why stateless individuals wouldn't have "travel documents", you're not trying very hard.

How do you know they are stateless? There was one with Syrian documents. For all we know the rest left their passports at home. What is stateless though? If war breaks out in my country , am I instantly rendered stateless, just hop on a boat and whatever country i arrive in must provide medicine food and shelter for God knows how long ?

I travel on 3 different passports and never raised suspicion. In fact doing so makes movements around the globe incredibly easy as I never have to line up in the "other nationalities" customs desk. I'd imagine carrying a toddler suffering malnutrition would seriously cock block and terrorist activity I might have planned
