if, it isn't currently prescribed to you, than, NO it isn't imo SAFE. it isnt safe to take prescription medication that is expired, and not prescribed to you. dont take it

A moderator told me that all all meds have a shelf life of 15 years but I dunno if that's right or not

I'm pretty sure that under correct storage conditions (usually a dry, dark, sealed container) pills work long after their expiration date. I'm pretty sure that pills can last at least 15 years, and my experience was with pills that was 30-40 years old, although they were military grade IDK if there is a difference.

I've taken military "go pills" AKA methylphenidate that was from the 60s or 70s

Yeah bud I really appreciate your feed back. I just have to use these till I see my doc to get adderall

Pills (Even if not stored in their container.) have a looooooong shelf life. The loss in potency will be so small and insignificant that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in the high. So yeah, you're good to go. Enjoy.

You should be fine, as long as it was stored in a dry place. There have been a few threads on this topic lately and general consensus was that it shouldn't even have degraded really. We can't make any promises however and if the pill has anything unusual about it when you take it out of it's packet then best avoided.

Overall it is not good practice to take someone else's pills, or expired medication, however.

I am going to close this as we've had a couple lately on the exact same topic and I don't think there is much more to add, but PM me if you have any queries :)
