5-MeO-AMT - worth the risks?

I have had almost a gram 5-MeO-AMT for awhile now. It is the only RC in my stack which I haven't touched - in fact I have avoided it at all costs.

But since I have it, I sometimes wonder if it really would be an idea to take it. It is an extremely potent and dangerous substance with a multitude of bad side effects. In fact the more I've read, the more convinced I've been that it's a bad substance.

There are two things I especially don't know how I will cope with. Firstly, the very long effects. Secondly, the physical discomfort.

However, people wouldn't take it if it didn't have some properties which are desirable, i.e. euphoria, visuals.

I am still on the side of not doing it. But if I were to take it, do you have some good advice on how to cope with the side effects? Any specific vitamins, amino acids etc. that would reduce the physical discomfort? It's not exactly a pleasurable thought to vomit for hours and having cramps in the legs and arms.

Also, how strong is the "speedy" effect? I am quite sensitive to stimulants as they can provoke panic attacks. I have benzos for that, but on the other hand they would diminish the psychedelic experiences.

I don't know much about it. But just from what you said about it in this post, I would stay away from it. Maybe try an extremly low dose and see how it effects you. Then you can work your way up from there, if the side effects aren't too bad.

My suggestion is just forget about it. How can it be worth it? Is it the only drug in the world to produce a high?

Like you I haven't tried it and became increasingly hesitant to. I have a little but the identity is not even that certain, an added negative. Even it is was absolutely alpha,O then I would still not take it.
5-MeO tryptamines can be sketchy and I wouldn't combine them with a stimulant yet 5-MeO-AMT is a stimulant itself AND a 5-MeO.

If I would ever do it I would take ridiculously low doses pre-measured as in say liquid measurement (there are alternatives as well) to ensure accurate dosing at low amounts. Then work my way up starting sub-threshold instead of at- or above-threshold. When I would get signs that the side-effects start outweighing the positives I would stop immediately and not try to see if there is not a second chance to give it.

I know the feeling of looking for novelty and being willing to venture into unknown and possibly negative territory. I used to be too curious for my own good. Only later I realized that it is not worth it with everything. Definitely not everything. Actually I don't think I could defend myself on this subject. I dare you to explain it to yourself first to see if you can protect yourself from irrational behavior.

I would take the risk, all 5-MeO-tryptamines are great and delightful, and unique. But hey, that's me, I guess I am different from regular psychedelic user: I love 5-MeO-tryptamines, and I love trying new drugs purely for trying new drugs.
Side effects? I don't care about them, unless they are long-lasting toxic effects.

I will try 5-MeO-AMT. How can I be sure if it is good or bad, if I have no experience with it?

I am still on the side of not doing it.
My best advice is don't do it. :)

Have 30mg of this one on its way here for testing :)8o:)
I have all intentions of trying this one during the summer :)
I do understand why you have second thoughts on this one though, but psychs are unique to us all. Maybe half the planned dose rectally (after allergy tests) to decrease nausea slightly?:\

That stuff seems to have a stunningly high incidence of very unpleasant sideffects, and it's primary effects are rarely described as being particularly interesting.

This sounds like something you take just to put a checkmark in the box next to a drug name. Which isn't a terribly good reason to take drugs.

Pretty much all the bad reports I read about 5-meo-amt are from people takeing way too much it thinking it was amt in wich 40mgs is a good dose while with 5meo-amt 5mgs will produce a strong trip; which is a pretty big differnce.
