400mg Tramadol (Ultram) - It does work!

Forewarning: Tramadol (Ultram), like most other drugs of its class can be habit forming and addictive. The withdrawal from Tramadol, for those physically addicted to it, is said to be much worse than other opiates such as Oxycodone. Also, Tramadol in high doses can severely lower your seizure threshold. If you've ever had seizures before, or are specifically prone to epileptic seizures, I would highly advise against experimenting with Tramadol.

Ok, anyway. I know there's a lot of negative hype surrounding Tram, primarily the rumor that since its not a scheduled narcotic in most states in the US, that its recreational values are extremely low. And to that claim, I say nay.

I've been experimenting with high doses of Tram, off an on, for about a month. And each time was just as thrilling as the one before it. After ingesting 8-10 50mg tablets, the onset is about 40 minutes on an empty stomach. A little longer if you take with food. Once it hits, it starts nice and mellow. Very, very similar to a mild Vicodin-like come up, but without the glowing effect some people experience. However, the euphoria is definitely there and its not a placebo effect.

Unlike opiates I've experimented with, my Tram highs last up to 4-5 hours! At its peak, the euphoria is very similar to a low dose of Oxycodone, and its definitely noticeable. The Tram will keep your mood elevated and even zone you out a little, but I'm completely functional on it.

The come off from Tram is just as easy. You'll definitely feel the drop in elevated mood, but its not so bad that it will ruin your day like other drugs that urge you to maintain the high.

Occasionally I have experienced minor bowel changes, similar to how opiates effect me, but I wouldn't report this as a serious side effect.

For experienced pill guys, I'd recommend Tram if you can get some. And its always useful as a backup. For reference purposes, I'm 25 years old, no major health issues, and I weigh 230lbs. So if you're going to experiment, adjust your dose accordingly and don't max out all at once.

Like I said above, the only noticeable side effect I've had with taking Tram for a couple days in a row is that it sometimes causes changes in bowel habits, i.e. diarrhea. Although I wouldn't say this is major, as most other pain killers have done this to me as well. Other than an occasional, mild headache (I've noticed headaches with Tram about 1 in every 5 times I use) which is easily treated with a couple Advil, then there's no other side effects I can report with Tram usage. Just don't get addicted.

Tramadol is seriously underrated, but some cannot metabolize it well or at all into o-desmethyltramadol, the really good stuff. When I was taking Prozac, the metabolization of tramadol into o-desmethyltramadol was inhibited, and so I couldn't really feel much from tramadol like I had before I was on Prozac, or like I do now that I am off it. Tramadol is nice in that it lasts a while, and is very comfortable, but it is different than real opiates. Opiates like hydrocodone or oxycodone definitely produce a different feel. Tramadol can be really euphoric as can hydro and oxy, but there is a difference and I can't put my finger on it.

Yup, I agree that its euphoric like opiates, but still different. Like I said above, I can relate it to a mild hydro like come up, without the glowing effect most get from a decent amount of oxy or hydro. And at its peak, when its most euphoric, I can compare it to a low oxy dose, like 20mg or so.

I find that Tram unlocks my creative side similar to oxy and hydro, but the difference is that oxy and hydro give me a strong nod and mellow me out a lot more, whereas Tram makes me more energetic. I still nod on Tram a little bit when I'm relaxed, but its not until about 2 hours into it. I think we all can agree on that.

And yes, the Tram high lasts at least 2-3 times longer than oxy and hydro, and you don't crave more Tram when you come off of it, unlike other opiates where you immediately crave more.

An interesting thing to note about Tram, is that through my experimentation I noticed that I can't increase my high in the same day. For example, if I take 1000mg and get high, then wait for the come down and attempt to take more Tram, the second dose doesn't seem to do anything for me. Not sure if you or anyone else has experienced this.

Yes I have noticed this.

Tramadol is very weird and im discovering this in many ways. I use to just pop 400-500mg and now I would rather do 100mg + 100mg 30 min later.

If I dose AT ALL and then dose 10+ hours later, the dose is almost uneffective and dirty.

There are so many different things I can say... Its a weird drug.

As a long time opiate user my doc said " here, try these" I did and thought I had found the holy grail!!! But I go thought a script of 180 pills in a week or so-and did this pretty regularly for several months with no bad effects. UNTIL... last script I got filled - 1st day I took somewhere in between 30-45 pills (50mg ea) and started having the siezure things....not a full on spaz out but instead it was like my body would go into these really stron almost violent "twitches" and i could not control when they would happen. I felt amazing but could not go out in public for fear of the "twitches" for a few days- amazing high though!!!!!!

Tramadol is great, 200mg + 200mg 45 mins later, all with white grapefruit juice is heavenly, if you've no tolerance and aren't used to harder stuff (trams were one of my first opioids ever, I may be biased). 5 hours of solid euphoria.

However, please don't underestimate the seizure potential, it's very real. At 400mg I got muscle tremors, I've never taken higher doses because of that. For more, I'd recommend a low dose of a long lasting benzo (because tramadol also lasts ages), like clonazepam or diazepam, but be careful with the benzo/opioid potentation.
