4-Fluoroamphetamine-First Time-A Wonderful New Discovery!
This experience is a few months old, it occurred just after the New Year. I took notes during the experience but have subsequently lost them, so please forgive any gaps in my memory.
I had the good fortune to experience this compound with a girlfriend, her fiance (also a good friend of mine) and his friend of many years from out of town (who I had never met, but was very nice). I had tripped in this environment on other substances before. My mindset was good, I had a good day beforehand and strangely, I wasn't terribly apprehensive about trying a chemical for which there is not much information. I was looking forward to an enlightening experience, and I was not disappointed.
I will have to make a follow up post with the dose in mg I took after I ask one of the abovementioned friends, as I stated I am working from memory and the experience was awhile ago. We all took the same dose to the best of my recollection and the purity of the substance had been satisfactorily measured. I had eaten a big vegetarian lunch, as I usually do when I anticipate taking a trip. (I am not a vegetarian but have an aversion to eating meat/flesh before tripping for some reason).
The drug hit all of us fairly quickly but, unlike MDMA, I felt ZERO nausea and came up very comfortably. I always feel comfortable around these particular friends, but the sense of empathy was dramatic. I found myself thinking about the people in my life who have come and gone. One of the most salient features of this journey was that I felt I gained a greater understanding of people and situations.
The friends who are a couple were feeling "in the mood" so they went off into the bedroom to do their deed. Neither of them smokes cannabis and the guy who was in from out of town does, so I made the suggestion to go outside and smoke some cannabis. I wasn't sexually aroused per se, but I could certainly see the potential of this substance to be a useful adjunct to a sexual experience given the right company and set of circumstances.
Cannabis tends to dull the feeling of MDxx class substances to me, and I don't often smoke until I feel myself starting to come down. Smoking really brought up the feeling of empathy and oneness with the world on this substance, though- not to mention it made the euphoria I was experiencing quite intense.
My trip lasted about as long as an average MDMA trip. Like the comeup, the comedown was fairly easy. I took something to get to sleep (don't remember what), eventually fell asleep and woke up the next day a little tired but nowhere near as chewed up as back in the day when I used to take dirty, untested pills.
Overall, this was a phenomenal experience for me. I did a search and found no reports of this substance on Bluelight and only one on Erowid, so perhaps this is my contribution to history.
I had originally titled my report in part "Like MDMA, only better." It was almost as if the "magic" of MDMA that many, if not most, of us have lost over time was brought back. A MDA trip I took about 3 months later was particularly intense. Perhaps 4-fluoro brought the magic back for me?
I am no chemist but 4-fluoroamphetamine felt a lot more specific and "clean" in its effects than other substances with which I have had experience. Does anyone have any comments on the neurotoxicity of this compound? That "chewed up" feeling I have from MDxx was nonexistent and I felt no decline in cognitive function whatsoever.
Barring unforeseen health or other consequences, I would enjoy revisiting this substance in the future. The others with whom I shared the experience would, I'd imagine, say the same. I recall one having slight nausea, but it passed in a short time.
Cheers, and be safe, all.
