Interesting! And it seems to be more potent than DMT, though less potent than 5-MeO-DMT.

Maybe I missed something in the article, but it says:

The fresh and dried plant tissues and raw seed, along with the hairs and epidermis of both fresh and dried pods were also screened for a number of other potentially present toxins: tryptamine, serotonin (5-HT), N,N-dimethyltryptamine, 5-methoxy-dimethyltryptamine (5-Me-DMT), and bufotenine. Using liquid chromatography with mass spectrometric detection, 5-Me-DMT was positively confirmed in each sample examined.

So isn't that just 5-MeO-DMT? I searched the article for a 5-methyl-DMT and didn't find anything.
 
I've been trying to find out what the hell is in this mix of a head shop in Aus. They hide the product from most people, and never sell or refer to it as "DMT". They say its a legal version of DMT, and that it is not 5-meO-DMT. It as just as strong as DMT, but has slightly different effects. At first I thought it was a mix of 5-meo-DMT and DMT, but it has no 5-meo-DMT effects whatsoever. It is another plants leaves absolutely soaked in tryptamine-rich oil. The tree it was extracted from is native only to some parts of Australia (basically central/north east coast). I always thought it was NMT and DMT, but could it maybe contain 5-Me-DMT.
It just feels so much different to DMT crystal or paste, but it is just as, if not more intense. It has very stimulative properties, feels like your eyes are about to pop out of the sockets from eye-wobbling too much, and your bottom jaw is pushed way lout of alignment. It also comes on a hell a lot quicker and is made to be smoked in a normal weed pipe.
 
Wow, it sounds like headshop owners in Aus are a lot sensible than they are in the US. Here, they'd have that product displayed on the front counter wrapped up in a multi-color Alex Grey-esque wrapper, and they'd probably call it "Purple Sticky Mimosa" or "Trips-a-lot." 8)
 
HYDROGEN BONDS OCCUR ON THE FON (fluorine, oxygen and nitrogen)
However, electronegativity is a bigger/greater than issue than H bonding.

F is highly electronegative, but it is only about the size of an H atom--too small.
Therefore,
4-Cl-DMT
4-Br-DMT (probably toxic)
4-Me-DMT
4-Et-DMT
are the next place to look.

The first two are electron withdrawing ala psilocin.
The last two are electron density donating ala DMT.
 
In the light of 4-MeO-MIPT being almost inactive,I get the feeling that 4-Fluoropsilocin will be inactive.

I haven't read MGS' post, but Cane Toads are prevalent in Australia are they not? Could it be a 5-HO-DMT extraction on an inactive substrate? Or is this a legal product? I, at first, took you to mean that they sold it illegally. Cane Toad sounds a lot more dramatic than a plant I have to say.

Yes... they forgot the O. It's 5-MeO-DMT. Still good information.
