Story and Subject Background

The subject is a 33-year-old Caucasian male, 5’11” (180.34cm), 225lbs (102.6kg).

More details about the subject and how these reports were discovered can be found here: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=256006

This report occurs one week after a first with 4-Ho-DiPT. Subject has also tried 2C-I and 2C-T-2 1x ea.

In the end it was not a good experience.

Set and Setting

500mg of 4-AcO-MiPT (4-Acetoxy-N,N-Methylisopropyltryptamine) was obtained from a fine chemical supplier in Asia.

A was less leery of the possibility of mislabeling after investigating a sample of 4-Ho-DiPT. This sample of 4-AcO-MiPT was a grayish color and grainy. A decided to go ahead with a ~10-12mg dose.

It was a pleasant Thursday evening with no work the next day.

8:30pm

T 0:00 A mixed ~10-12mg 4-AcO-MiPT into a cup of Yogi Tea (minor upset stomach relief formular) and drank it.

T 0:10 88bpm, 99.6F (37.5C).

T 0:20 1st Alert? Neck seems a little stiff.

T 0:30 Definitely on.

T 0:33 Listening to Insides cd by Orbital. Cool

T 0:35 No noticeable trails yet. Some nervous energy.

T 0:38 98F (36.6C).

T 0:40 Weird CEVs. Very liquidy. Totally unlike 2c-* visuals.

T 0:42 OEVs are kicking in.

T 0:45 Tripping. Cat seems to be freaked by the music.

T 0:47 Jaw is tight. Brought out a fan, feeling hot.

T 0:50 130bpm, 98.6F (37C), sweaty.

T 0:55 No dilation of pupils. Drinking more Yogi Tea (respiratory support formula, in case of breathing issues A read about).

T 1:03 Full fledged trip. CEVs good. Rainbow on black morphing into skull shapes and lots of eyes everywhere in the textures. OEV morphing.

T 1:08 99F (37.2C)

T 1:14 Small trails

T 1:17 Chest has been tight throughout the experiment. Breathing is okay, though.

T 1:19 100bpm, 99F (37.2C)

T 1:26 CEVs are very fluid and beautiful. Not just geometric shapes.

T 1:28 No dilation of pupils.

T 1:36 CEVs very liquid.

T 1:44 CEVs are becoming choppy or stuttery, like stop-motion filming. The morphing is dizzying.

T 2:10 Tight upper body muscles, chest, shoulders, neck.

T 2:13 Chilly? Grab a blanket. A is panicking a little so he calls a friend to come over. Laying down for the ride. Calls another friend to talk to until B gets there.

T 2:15 Feeling a little nausea.

T 2:36 Hooray for B. A is not handling the situation well. He is very worried about his breathing. He feels like his entire upper body is pumped, as from a workout. It seems that this is keeping the lungs from working properly. Heart is pounding.

T 2:47 CEVs are still present. Feeling hot and worried, but A thinks the peak may be over.

T 3:09 The peak has passed and A feels a lot better with B present. A is question the value of this experience. Sure the visuals were amazing, but is that all there is to be had from it? Is it worth the panic? A sits down to chant the Nirvanastakam (Chidanandarupah Shivoham Shivoham). Chanting is nice as are the music that accompanies it. After the chant A plays the Om Namah Shivaya chant and does some productive meditation. While it isn’t a definite hallucination, A has a clear imagination of seeing the inside of his skull and spinal column as he is chanting. The meditation was good.

T 3:44 Approaching baseline.

T 4:00 Eat.

T 4:13 Still some chest tightness.

T 4:43 Neck and shoulders still tight.

T 5:45 Still tight chest.

T 6:00 This is posted on a forum (then went to bed):

The impression Anatman had with 4-aco-mipt @ ~10-12mg was that around T2:00-T2:30 tension in the upper body muscles (chest, shoulders, neck) was impeding lung function. A had to focus on breathing with diaphragm rather than chest (or so A thought - A wasn't particularly right-minded at the moment). A felt distinctly like being wrapped or constricted around the chest/shoulders/neck area, though A was not wearing a top of any sort. A didn't like it at all.

Apart from that Orbital rocked, the visuals were fantastic, and there was good meditation while coming down.

Before I continue, there is a Black Sabbath lyric, the song is Hand of Doom:

[…]
From life you escape, reality's that way
Colours in your mind, satisfy in time

Oh you, you know you must be blind
To do something like this,
To take the sweet that you don't know
You're giving Death a kiss
Oh little fool now

Your mind is full of pleasure, your body's looking ill
To you it's shallow leisure, so drop the acid pill
Don't stop to think now

You're having a good time baby, but that won't last
Your mind's all full of things, you're living too fast
[…]

A wasn’t able to sleep for more than a couple of restless hours that night. Even at T 7:00 there were distracting CEVs.

The next day was as normal, but very tired. A tried to go to sleep around midnight the next night (T 27:30) and was unable to do so.

T 29:30 A tries to take a crap. While sitting there he wondered why he couldn’t sleep. He then felt chest tightness, trouble catching his breath, and heart pounding. Panic attack.

T 29:25 A tries to sleep but keeps experiencing the heart pounding and shortness of breath. He tries mantras but that fails.

T 30:00 A seriously considers going to the hospital. Online he finds that nobody’s ever died from a panic attack. Relaxation is the key.

T 30:30 A tries reading and listening to radio to get tired. A is fine as long as he doesn’t think about breathing or heart beat.

T 31:00 A tries to sleep. He focuses on deep breathing whenever the heart starts pounding again. After a couple of hours he does manage some sleep for about 2 hours.

The next day is fine as long as A is distracted. A gets some 5-HTP to help with sleep. Goes to a wedding and reception. Drinks beer and liquor. At around midnight (T 51:30)
A finally falls asleep and sleeps well for about 9 hours.

The next night with 5-HTP and some drinking A also gets some sleep.

The next day A experiences panic attacks two more times. A makes an appointment to see a doctor the next day.

***

It looks like at this point A decided to lay off of the psychedelics for a while. His notes say he will go get checked out, take the good Dr’s advice whatever that may be, and hope to get past this issue.

A doesn’t think the 4-AcO-MiPT caused the problem, but does believe it has the ability to bring up panic as noted by others. In this case it was a lingering anxiety issue that A had.

Thanks for the report. I'm just starting to experiment with 4-AcO-MiPT as well. I had a dose about the same as yours, and it was fun and pleasant in nature but rather uneventful. I think part of it was due to tolerance from doing a few too many trips lately. I'll try it again after a break at a higher dose and report back. But I can tell that it's definitely a relatively friendly and very quality material.

I think A's was a fantastic trip. The CEVs were amazing. The reported shortness of 4-AcO-MiPT and 4-HO-DiPT are appealing for a person who doesn't have an entire day to devote to a journey. I think A just had some personal issues, in spite of believing that he was a relatively strong person in all regards. Hopefully he will be able to overcome the issues he had with this. I thought it worth posting because it could be a similar problem for others.

A was hoping to do a 4-HO-DiPT/4-AcO-MiPT combo to experience the euphoria/(and reported)aural effects of the former together with the visuals of the latter. As I said, his notes indicate a need to put that off for the time being.
