4 AcO DMT degradation?

I got ahold of a fresh batch of the fumarate formula about 4 months ago, 250 mgs worth. I dipped into the bag 3 times with no change in the appearance of the material. I dipped into it a week ago & it had turned into a moist substance resembling brown sugar. There hasnt been any change in how or where I store it-which is dark, dry, & waterproof-& am positive I didnt spill anything on or near it. The baggie its in hasnt been compromised or ripped in any fashion. I store other powder type chems in the same area & none of them show signs of moisture contamination. Any explanations as to what happened here? Also, I gave a buddy some when it was still dry, & he said the same thing occured to his stash. He tells me theres no change in the effects

Most tryptamines are fragile and prone to degradation (formation of oxidation products... actually psilocin is one of those in the case of 4-AcO-DMT, or even IIRC the primary one). Potency loss should be pretty minimal unless you store them for a year or more... conditions play a big part in the rate of degradation. Keep away from air, moisture, and light. Under a rigorously dry inert atmosphere, a little under room temperature, in darkness, they will probably outlast you and I without degradation though.
