4-aco-DMT and chest pains?

Hello, 2 days ago I tried 4-aco-DMT for I believe the fourth or fifth time in my life. I am a type one diabetic, and have been experiencing chest pains for about a month. The chest pain is located a bit above my heart, right above my left nipple. All though the chest pain started when I tried 25I-nBOME a month ago (I had no clue iodine was extremely toxic in a diabetics body at the time, I just found this out recently), it had for the most part gone away, until I tried 4-aco 2 days ago, where it suddenly came back and has been hurting me worse then it ever has before. So I am wondering, Could it have possibly been the 4-aco that is causing this chest pain? or if it could be a coincidence that my chest pains came back at this time.

The only advice I will give you, given the novelty of these drugs co-mingling with your medical diagnosis and physiological distress, is to consult a physician immediately. We cannot play doctor here, as much as we might want to, and any answer to your posed question would only be conjecture. Supposition. Take care of yourself, for living is not an unconditional luxury.

I was pretty stupid at the time.. I was on antibiotics and benadryl (diphenhydramine) at the time (yeah bad idea..) I didn't read the labels and I did a rather small dose of of 4-aco-dmt (maybe 15mg max) and I got severe chest pains I thought I was having a heart attack, it was just awful trip and it would come and go every few minutes and it lasted for about 6 hours.

I've noticed some troubling bradycardia from 4-aco-dmt. My resting HR is in the low 60's usually, depending on my exercise regimen. The first half of a 4-aco-dmt trip, my HR dips into the 40's without much increase in BP. I always feel alright though. Sometimes i think I might have some edema of the hands and feet but I'm pretty sure this is in my head.

How this could cause chest pain, well poor perfusion of the cardiac tissue could lead to ischemia. Did you experience any neurological signs, particularly syncope?

Wasn't there a study somewhere about the effects of serotonergic psychedelics and heart problems? I'll try to dig it up.

yes, 5HT2B receptor agonism and valvular heart disease. fenfluramine was the Fen in Fen-Phen, yanked from the market for this reason. this required long term use. I don't think 5 uses would have that effect. I myself have used it many many more times than that.

OP, how is your exercise tolerance? ever check your sugars during these episodes? are you still experiencing chest pain?

Agreed, for one, lay off the psychedelics (Strange that these usually /physically/ benign drugs might be the problem here), and if the chest pain stops all together, you may have your problem. Perhaps if you have a (physically) weak heart, you could do things to strengthen it up, before resuming psychedelic use.

I had a close friend with some very minor congenital heart condition, I can't recall exactly what it was, but under the influence of 4-AcO-DMT he became convinced he was having a heart attack, grabbed a police officer, and was taken away in an ambulance. His heart was fine at the time, he was simply having a panic reaction and his racing heart lead him to feel he was having a heart attack. These things can be a vicious cycle, fear that you have incurred cardiac damage induces tachycardia, which increases fear of cardiac damage, and so on...
