First experience with 4-AcO-DMT. 15mg taken orally, relatively empty stomach. 120 pound female with very low sensitivities to all substances. I was in the room with 4 other participants at the same dose, and one sober sitter.
Back history: This is my first experience with hallucinogens. Have previously had about 1 dozen experiences with MDMA and 2 experiences with MDMA/codeine derivative.
Nausea rating: 7/10. Subsided when head was placed on the ground.
Temperature (cold): 6/10. Chills subsided while under blankets. Significant shivering for first hour
Visual (closed eyes) 6/10. Strange rooms/locations.
Visual (open eyes) 4/10. Distorted lights, smudged colours.
Physical symptoms: heavy stomach, sinus pressure, increased arousal, shivering, disassociation of limbs (discovering pieces of my body i did not know were there previously)
Psychological Symptoms: Difficulty understanding language, difficulty speaking, giggling, crying
First symptoms (20 min) included heavy stomach, slight confusion, nauseousness, pressure in sinuses, beginning of increased arousal. I was standing at this time.
30 min - grid of dots in visual perception in green/red. patterns begin to move slightly, dizzy, unsteady. Increased nauseousness, increased arousal. Decided to sit down/put head down due to dizzy/nauseousness. It was uncomfortable, but not overwhelming. I found the "come up" very similar to a strong wave of MDMA disorientation, except that it lasted significantly longer, was not accompanied by the touch sensations, and there was no energy boost.
30min-1hour. Full effects. Pupils fully dilated. Began to get overwhelmed with sights/sounds. I found it was best to lay down at this point in time, because it was relatively intense. I alternated between closed and open eyes, and found that it was more enjoyable to keep my eyes closed to prevent the nauseousness and dizziness. I was slowly being pulled into my own mind, but every time someone talked I was pulled back to "reality". I perceived this as frustrating, and would definitely like to repeat the process in a quiet/dark room in the future.
Some of the visions:
Walking though a wall of green slime to reach the people on the other side
"neo tokyo" a garage full of black limo's with green/pink stripes.
Had an experience with bugs/snakes. I was mentally prepared for any "bad" thoughts, and easily pushed these out of my mind.
1-3 hours. This was the most fun part of the experience (I didn't expect "fun" when i went into it). Myself and some other participants ended up on the floor in a pile of pillows and blankets. We alternated holding each others hands, and seemed to "know" what the others were thinking. When someone made a suggestion of something they saw, we saw the same thing. It was as though our experiences were melding with the others around us. Hilarity ensued when we began talking about abstract concepts. When i managed to return from the bathroom at the one hour mark, i proceeded to raise my jacket over my head, pronounce i was superman, and dive onto the couch head first. I then hung upside down of the couch, slid of the couch, and repeated the process. The head rush of being upside down was very enjoyable. There was considerable giggling, crying, admissions of feelings, some touching/rubbing against each other.
Some of the conversations included:
- Are we mermaids? I don't know if we have tails. One person asked if we had female organs, to which someone else responded "No, we lay eggs". this made some people very upset, and they were not able to have sex?
- Someone perceived themselves as a carrot in the sun in a vegetable patch. This corresponded with the sunrise.
3-4 hours. At this point, we retreated to individual sleeping locations. Sleep was intermittent for 5-10 minutes, and then i was startled awake by a vivid image with my heart racing. Eventually, we all fell asleep.
7 hours - pupils had finished being dilated. Most of the dizziness had subsided. Mild headaches, and other effects from sleep deprivation apparent.
Next day: Had very vivid dreams when I finally fully slept the next evening. In the morning, I still had a slight headache, as well as body aches (most likely due to sleeping/rolling on the floor), and some sinus pain? No presence of a "hangover" except mild disorientation upon waking up.
Will try slightly increased dose in more comforting atmosphere in the future. I found it difficult to enjoy the closed eye visuals when distracted. I hear of many experiences able loosing ones self in the mind, and would like to experience more of this.
