30mg methadone too much for first time? Please reply...

I took 30mg methadone over the course of about 40 minutes orally. I usually take 20-25mg hydrocodone for a good strong buzz. I've never taken methadone before and I'm afraid 30mg is too much--however, no effects yet, so I'm not sure. Please answer ASAP. Thank you.

Yes it's too much. Be very careful with methadone, and it will kick in in an hour!

Do you have someone who can monitor you? If not, go *around* the ER NOW and wait for dangerous signs to appear. If it's the case, you'll just have to push the door. Sorry to scare you, but this is a really hazardous situation you put yourself into.

Methadone takes TWO hours to kick in, and then it's la-la land or worse for 24 hours!

Well, cards are in your hand. Again, sorry to break your trip but better safe than sorry!
 
^This. That does sound like too much for a beginner. I'd get yourself under medical supervision ASAP.
