Nope...

The highest dose of hydrocodone available is 10mg... and it is always included with tylenol. It is a schedule 4 drug and can simply be called into pharmacies and can have refills... so theres no way they would make doses like this available.

Okay...I just got some pills from a friend...while waiting to see my neuro for chronic back pain...and they told me it was 30mg hydro w/codeine. Will have to check it out once I see them. My hubs picked em up for me a litttle while ago....we shall see.

*sigh*

the highest LEGAL dose is 15 mg in one pill. These are only found at compound pharmacies. Also hydrocodone is schedule 3. You are correct to say it is always paired with APAP. They don't make a prepared dose higher than 10 mg.

oh and it is possible that my hubs is being retarded...and our friend told him codeine...not hydrocodone...in which case...my question is....is hydrocodone more powerful than codeine? LOL...since I have never been on codeine before.

I believe that hydrocodone is a semi-synthetic derivative of codeine and thebaine and breaks down to hydromorphone in the liver. It's much more powerful than codeine, but not as powerful as oxycodone (percocet and oxycontin).

You're going to sigh then drop false information?

15mg with at least 100mg APAP (I believe) is the largest quantity allowed for it to be schedule 3. There is no law preventing manufacturers from making larger dose pills, they would just be schedule II, not illegal.

People have shared their experience with compounding pharmacies in the US creating extended release hydrocodone pills that were larger than 15mg here. There are not not any mass produced on the market, but higher dose hydrocodone are not ILLEGAL.

This has been answered... lesson hopefully gleaned: don't listen to your friend, and simple, basic questions like this are more appropriate for BDD.

The posting standards thread better clarifies what belongs in OD and if you have any questions feel free to PM myself or other staff any time. Welcome to BL!
