2nd cold turkey of week 1 from 5 years daily use

It's been 20 years for me after 11 years of daily smoking. The funny thing is at least once a week i get stoned in my dreams and i actually feel the high. I thought after 20 years these dreams would stop but i do enjoy them.

*is jealous

The only thing i've gotten in a dream in the negative aspects of crack come down amped up more then i thought conceivably possible. It really fucking sucked; More like a complete fucking nightmare seeing as to how i didnt even get any positive "high" from it(in the dream).

like many others i too find quitting makes a crazy difference with my dreams.. so much more vivid, and the memory of them stays with me, instead of disapearing within the first few blinks of waking up

I quit last year for a little while when I first moved up to the Gold Coast and started University.

Didn't last long!

When I stop for a few days or so, I notice that my dreams are completely bizarre also.

I don't find taking breaks from smoking that big of a deal anymore. When I first took a break it was hard, but I have taken so many breaks since then over the 10+ years that I have been smoking that it's like second nature now. I don't even miss it, especially if I'm quitting for a purpose. Weed isn't my #1 drug anymore though, that's probably why.

really? i cant remember my dreams too well when i smoke. i do remember they are usually odd... but when i stop smoking i remember them and their all totally insaine!

my first lucid dream was two weeks after i quit smoking this one time (i usually go on like 1 month breaks every couple months)

speakin of pot. and dreams.
and quitting

let me adress that in reverse order
1. fuck that
2. fuck yeah.
3. i got a blunt waiting for me as soon as i hit the post button :D

just an update:

i've been sober from weed for two months, i feel great and all.
the bad news is my vocation ends next week which means i will have access to weed at home sweet home. i still got an 8th at home but i think it might be harden and harsh to smoke. looks like i will be back to my routine smoking unless i get a full time job during the whole summer :!

Has anybody quit after about 15 years of smoking daily? I had to, and I'm wondering how long it should take for my lungs to clear out. I still hack up some black shit every morning after about a month of no smoking. I can only imagine what I have done to my lungs...
