2CI - catastrophic stupidity, dosage wrong by factor of 10

Unfortunately the only more experienced trippers I know are in different parts of the country. As a sitter, my roommate might well have freaked out before I did... then again, you never know. sometimes people are unexpectedly steady.

anyway, that's interesting what you say xorkoth, about getting used to that feeling. I guess I know what you mean mainly from weed, but it's harder with a real trip (of course dosing wrong doesn't help..). have thought about tripping alone though. maybe sometime. I'm always fairly impressed by people who've done it alone first time; unless one knows a lot about what to expect already it seems potentially an anxious time.

related question: anyone think particular psychedelics are suited to particular company/situations? I've usually found 2ci the best trip in most circumstances, and shrooms the worst.

Xorkoth, this would be a useful TR for Erowid, as high-dose experiences are really a testament to the safety of 2C-I and 2C-E. Of course, they can also encourage silly young'uns to push the limits to dangerous levels, but that's the risk of amateur research, no?

That sounds pretty much definitely illegal. If you weren't allowed to discharge yourself because of your state of mind, you certainly were not in a fit state to sign forms. I reckon you should potentially take that up with someone high up at the hospital.

Well I guess in the end, it could have been worse if you would have dosed 10x over standard with a more dangerous substance. the 2C-x's are fairly safe. Imagine if you would have done that with something stronger like DOC which already lasts 24 hours on a standard 5 mg dose.

How in the hell could you have ingested a factor of 10 over the required dosage? 20 mg looks nothing like 200. It's just really, really silly. But I guess it happens to the best of us.

I'm glad you're ok. I took about 40 mg of 2CE the other day and tripped for a good 12 hours. Maybe it was more than that looking at your story.
