2C-*s and MDMA-like serotonin flood?

This topic has long been a thought of mine as well.

I have to agree that the 2C family of drugs do feel like they release serotonin similar to MDMA, just not as strongly.

They also don't seem to come with the horrible crash and hangover that MDMA produces, but the highs have their similarities.

2C-T-2 certainly has a rush of euphoria very similar to MDMA except more psychedelic and deep with less dopaminergic side effects. I am certain that 2C-T-2 does some releasing of serotonin, it just feels like it, in a good way :) <3

Perhaps that's why I don't feel like doing 2C-T-2 that often. I think if I did it more frequently it would "lose some magic" so to say.

I know this is not exactly what you are looking for, but I have tried 2C-B, 2C-C, 2C-D, 2C-E, 2C-I, and 2C-T-7 (only at 16mgs, and was not impressed; just not my type of compound).

I do not have any solid proof or research pointing to what you are targeting, but the only one out of those that I have tried, all of which were multiple times (usually three), that I recognized a solid, typical, MDMA-like seretonin effect mixed with the more psychedelic effects, was 2C-B. It was identical to the description on informational websites. It is a mellow mixture of rolling and tripping to be completely non-professional. To be a little more exact, it is less direct than MDMA and less ego-threatening and dissociative than Psilocybes or LSD (obviously the most common psychedelics to compare, though I hate comparisons).

It was a novelty drug for me, meaning the first time was the last time I'll ever get the same effect, and I found it overrated. I imagine it is great for some, but I prefer heavier trips, like that from 2C-E, DOM, etc.

However, it was unmistakable. The sensation of MDMA was not nearly as intense, but from my memory, it felt quite similar. I can understand why it became scheduled. It was the only one of them that gave me nystagmus. MDMA type drugs are the only ones that cause that effect in me. Obviously I couldn't know for certainty without a good bit more chemistry knowledge and research documents, but there does seem to be something different about it from the others.

The way I learned the action of MDMA is:

1) MDMA mimics serotonin in the brain
2) It is more readily taken up by transporters than serotonin itself
3) Once inside the neuron it confuses the transporters, making them work in reverse
4) Serotonin is flooded out of the transporters into the synaptic cleft
5) Serotonin is then blocked out of the neuron and left to bind again, and again to the receptors. Thus causing overstimulation

As far as personal experience goes, (of the 2C's) I've only done 2C-I and I noticed a more ampy rush to it than an MDMA like rush.
