2C-I – First time, relatively inexperienced, 20mg – Fantastic, BUT …

Story Background

This is one of a number of stories a friend found hand-written on notepad paper and stuffed inside a chemistry book at the University library. While looking up the chemicals in question, I found this site and thought they may be relevant to the ongoing discussions.

***

Subject Background

The subject of the stories appears to be a professional 33 year old White male living in the Mid-western United States. He is 5’11” (180.34cm), 225lbs (102.6kg), muscular build (but could be in better shape).

He is a non-smoker. He does drink alcohol somewhat regularly and has a little higher than normal tolerance to that. His marijuana consumption averages about twice a year.

The subject’s prior experience with psychedelics is limited to frequent use of LSD in the late ‘80s, a little in the early-mid ‘90s. The last experience with it was in 1994. Recently he has smoked 5x and 10x Salvia Divinorum about a half-dozen times.

The subject has been diagnosed in the past with mild somatic anxiety (nervousness, shaking hands, dry mouth) manifesting in social performance contexts such as public speaking. A Dr has prescribed 50mg Atenolol ‘as needed’. It is rarely needed and 100mg was only taken once in the year prior to this experience, about two months prior.

A has also taken part in clinical research trials of pharmaceuticals. The last trial was over 6 months prior with two doses of a generic version of paroxetine (Paxil).

Set and Setting

A had been out late drinking the night before. He had restless sleep beginning at about 3:30am and woke around 9am a little hung over. This may have had some impact on the subsequent experience.

For the day all A had to eat was a bowl of oatmeal and two cups of Yogi Tea (detox formula) around noon, and a Jamba Juice with a protein boost around 1:30pm.

A also had one cup of Yogi Tea (upset stomach) prior to dosing hoping this would prevent some of the nausea he had read about.

B was present as a sitter. She has never done psychedelics or been around anyone who did. She's sensible and A trusts her. They were alone at A’s house. A made sure B had friend C's phone number. C has a lot of experience with psychedelics but now abstains from everything.

A had obtained 500mg of 2C-I (2,5-dimethoxy-4-iodo-PEA) from a research chemical supplier north of the United States.

A was not positive about the dosage because he only had a cheap .01g scale. For finer resolution A attempted to weigh in carats (.01ct = 2mg). With the first attempt the scale fluctuated between .10-.15ct (est 20-30mg). A was aiming for ~20mg, so he cleaned the scale and weighed again. This time it fluctuated between .05-.10ct (est 10-20mg). A is guessing the actual dose at 20mg.

3:30pm

T 0:00 A mixed 20mg 2C-I with orange juice, stirred and drank it down. There was no taste. A noticed that some of the 2ci was in the bottom of the glass, added some water and swallowed that too. A also cleaned the spoon.

T 0:07 A sat down for meditation to chant the Shri Rudram. A hoped that the chanting might help to focus away from the nausea. It's about a 40 minute chant.

T 0:24 The first alert comes with the faintest hint of nausea. Hands are sweaty.

T 0:39 A is becoming too distracted to follow along with the Sanskrit text of the chant. B is laying down and A lays down with her in the bedroom.

T 0:43 Beginning to have mild CEVs (closed eye visuals), no colours or details, just melty shapes. Hands are shaky.

T 0:46 A finds this very pleasant, somewhat reminiscent of acid. He feels energetic.

T 0:50 Still no colours, but A begins to see trails, like acid. A finds that moving his muscles feels really good. A’s talking a lot. A tells B that he’s really glad she’s there. Breathing is beginning to be laboured at times and this will be the theme for the night, unfortunately. A also notices the beginning of jaw tension. B runs out to get some gum.

T 0:54 A is very giggly. A mentions that petting the cat is a little weird, but doesn’t elabourate.

T 0:59 More faint nausea.

T 1:04 A’s eyes are dilated. He’s laughing a lot. A feels euphoric.

T 1:06 A is beginning to get definite CEV patterns.

T 1:07 A observes that moving his body affects the visuals. Moving makes the patterns move. Rubbing his hand over his arm or head makes a wave of light pass through the visuals pattern.

T 1:09 A’s not certain whether he’s cold or not. There is mild shivering. CEVs are bright neon rainbow colours on black background. Still some nausea.

T 1:11 A describes that breathing fuzzes out the edges of the CEV patters. A definitely feels that his perception of reality is distorted.

T 1:13 B tests his ability to follow the tip of a pen: left, right, up, down. A passes. A comments that this is definitely a potent drug. A wonders at this point how the come down will be?

T 1:15 CEVs are swirling rainbows. A’s breathing is heavy again. A’s having trouble focusing his thoughts, but this is not unpleasant.

T 1:22 Mild OEV (open eye visuals) occur. Looking at the wall, A sees movement and texture. A’s not sure whether he sees a pattern in the texture that is actually there or if he only imagines it. Breathing is still laboured.

T 1:30 A comments that it feels so good to move his limbs and squirm his body around on the bed. Touching things feels good. A says that this is much better than acid. He wonders if this is the touchy body feeling people report with Ecstasy? (With no experience, A doesn’t know.) The OEVs are getting a little stronger, slight colour changes and some faint patters. Hands are still sweaty.

T 1:32 A start talking about the Man, questioning why they make psychedelics illegal.

T 1:36 A’s still laughing a lot and can’t shut up about how stretching his body feels so good. CEV patterns are vibrant pastel colours. Deep breaths really affect the patterns. A’s time perception is completely off. A observe that he definitely could not go out in public.

T 1:41 Wow, A is fucked up!

T 1:54 Breathing again seems like a complex task.

T 1:56 Put on Mirror Mask. The opening credits are kind of blowing A away. A again notes the similarities to acid.

T 2:01 A is laughing at the movie a lot.

T 2:03 A wonders if he’s reached the plateau?

T 2:08 Visuals are stronger. A speculates that he’s at a +++.

T 2:12 CEVs are very geometric.

T 2:15 A feels very social. He has that sort of feeling like he’s just woken up and opened his eyes to see the world. They pause the movie so A can go pee, but it looks to him like the movie characters continue moving.

T 2:30 A is not feeling well, hot and clammy. A’s sweating and now wonders what’s the whole point?

T 3:00 A feels a little tired. There are still vivid colours.

T 3:10 There is still nausea and A is hot and a little sleepy, but in good spirits.

T 3:22 C calls for an update. A says that besides the nausea it’s okay. After getting off the phone A tries to throw up with no success.

T 3:38 A wonders why it is necessary to pay with such bad body feeling for such great visuals. He says it is like going to a museum, and every time you look at a pretty picture someone punches you in the gut.

T 3:30 A tries going to the bathroom, no luck.

The time-stamped notes stop here, but a summary follows:

The coming up *apart from the nausea* was incredible. Yet it was never a clearly defined nausea. It was just an over all bad body feeling with nausea being the only clearly definable component.

The last time A did acid was '94, but he’s done salvia about a half-dozen times this year. He found a lot of similarities to lsd with the trails, the giggliness, as well as the neck and jaw tension as things wore on. A was not familiar with the euphoric feelings, just how GOOD it felt to move his limbs, to stretch, to touch things, to feel his body, etc. A wondered if that is the similarity to MDMA? A didn’t think he could have had sex, but laying naked with someone would have been great.

A read a lot of people saying ci isn't visual. A never had CEVs like these on acid, but speculates that the lsd he’d had in the past was not the best. CEVs were incredibly beautiful. Very geometric, very bright rainbow colours on a black checkerboard background. Later A talked on the phone with C and described them. C said that it sounded similar to what he's had with mushrooms. A found when he was coming up that moving his body, or rubbing his hands on his arm changed the CEVs, like it would send a ripple of light across the pattern.

They tried to watch Mirror Mask. A got about 30 minutes into it before the body feelings were beginning to be too much. The nausea stayed with him the entire time. A wasn't sure if he had to crap, so he tried and nothing came of it.

A wasn't feeling well, so he put on a CD called Sufi Splendor. Turkish chanting/meditation music. A noticed that as he continued to peak, the CEV patterns got tighter and tighter, and more eratic, spinning off into infinity. This may also have been affected by the music.

But A was NOT feeling well. A thought if he could throw up that might help, so he tried with the finger down the throat and nothing came up. It didn't help.

A was afraid he might be getting too hot. He read that that is an issue with MDMA, so he tried a cold shower. A came out and asked B to lay down with him. They laid together for the next couple of hours. Again, the CEVs were beautiful, but the body feelings were awful.

Coming down, A noticed the CEV patterns got larger, not so tight and erratic. He had some neat concrete images, like yantras, with bright, neon colours on black background. But he also started to go through some negative emotions and noticed that the colours went more toward the dark blue, purple range, not so rainbowy. He doesn't know if that was because of the emotions or just coming down.

Overall the coming up was great, even in spite of the waves of nausea. The trip would have been great if he didn't feel so crappy. While the visuals were good, he can’t say that he could find any sort of spiritual element. There was the introspective coming down bit, where you could analyze all the bad things in your life that you should change but won't, but he avoided it.

There was no trouble sleeping at the end of the night, and no noticeable after-effects in the days or weeks after.

If it's true that marijuana can prevent the nausea, A thinks it’s the only way he could enjoy this. He couldn’t bear it again with that body feeling.

B was concerned about the laboured breathing, but it wasn't constant.

At the end, A wondered if it is true that the nausea is worse with ct2?

2C-T-2's nausea is FAR worse than 2C-I's. But I find 2C-T-2 to be more penetrating downj to your core for use in a psychotherapeutic context. It seems to have the unique ability to separate your ego into its separate parts, and you can observe the interaction between them and the way they combine to make you, and also the way that they work against each other. In this way, I was able to use it to really revolutionize the way I understand myself. But after I figured this out, I found the nausea and nasty body feeling for the first few hours to make the experience not worth it anymore. 2C-I on the other hand is great for introspection and communication and general pleasantness, but not so great for really deep work.

Thanks for the response.

I just posted A's 2C-T-2 report. (http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=256022) At a relatively low dose he did not find it entirely upleasant, though not incredibly deep.

I'm just catching up. I've got two more to post.

I wouldn't say it's deep... it's just extremely relevant to your personal life and development and can be astoundingly useful as a psychotherapeutic tool.
