I've taken 2C-E once before at 17mg, but only got a weak +2 most likely because I mixed the 2C-E with a glass of orange juice, and I've heard since that acidic drinks block absorption of PEAs. Have plenty of experience with psychs, thus overall I would say "sort of experienced" with 2C-E.

I dosed 20mg of 2C-E with my friend S at about 9:55am on an empty stomach. We immediately left on our bikes to go to a huge, wonderful, and deserted area of nature we found behind a local hospital. After about 30 minutes of cycling we stopped at a gas station and grabbed some candy, then ventured into the wilderness. We wandered around on grassy paths and through farm fields for a while. Luckily my body didn't complain much about this drug, I would say there was only slightly more unsettliness than even acid would give me, though I spent a good deal of time worrying about the possibility of a body load. Most of my anxiety on psychs tends to be related to the possibility of bad physical side effects, which I never seem to get. Yet I can't seem to break the cycle of worrying about them. As we walked through the farm fields I noticed that my pattern recognition was sent into overdrive--looking around the tractor treads it appeared that the little clumps of dirt and rocks repeated identically in shape, size, and number every few inches, although it is far more likely that there were just random clumps of dirts everywhere with no real discernible pattern.

S and I stopped by a nice tree at T+3:30, I had been having mild CEVs but everything was weak and subtle so far. Some effects were probably masked by the bright daylight I was in but primarily it seemed that the 2C-E was just very slow in coming on. I took one gravity bong hit of weed and it kicked things up a notch. I had a traditional psychedelic rush where my mouth felt odd and I felt the need to walk around a bit. There was definitely quite a bit of visual activity and movement now upon looking at surfaces, and plant-shaped visuals appeared when I closed my eyes. This could have been the influence of being in nature all day though. Overall, the drug gave more of a distinct visual quality to plant life rather than having visual patterns jumping out at me.

S and I ventured into the forest to explore with some excellent psytrance playing on my portable speakers. Being outdoors began to feel almost indoors to me, as if in a huge majestic cathedral. As I wandered around I felt like I was in a "room" that nature had created just for me and my perception. Instead of leaving and entering multiple rooms, the room I was in just changed and morphed to fit the surroundings as I continued to walk. Music helped this feeling, though it was difficult to say how. I was in a familiar psychedelic headspace and way of perception but 2C-E gave it its own bit of character to it as well. This was the peak of the experience and perhaps is one of the coolest purely "trippy" experiences I have had.

We got trapped in an area surrounded by a marshy steam for a while. We would walk in the opposite direction of the stream and somehow come upon it again. This must have happened at least four times, maybe the stream just bent but it was extremely difficult to navigate the area or at least keep track of directions. It felt good to be "lost" however. I wanted to appreciate nature without worrying where I was, just being satisfied with the natural "room" around me.

Once we made it out of that forested region our goal was to get back to a nice field we passed near the beginning of our journey. We tried to stop at the bank of a big river for a bit but this turned into a disaster. The bank was made of deceiving wet mud rather than the hardened mud it appeared to be, and it was also quite steep. S managed to soak his feet and shoes in mud at first, then after getting back out he dropped his backpack and it rolled down the bank into the river. Amazingly, it floated and he was able to retrieve it without any of the contents getting wet. This was lucky because he had a music player and some high-quality headphones inside.

We put on separate headphones to try in ear music which was auditorally delicioius. Eventually I saw a steep steep hill among a brambly forest area that I suggested might miraculously get us closer to our destination. Climbing it was very hard but also very epic. Some Tiesto song was playing in my ears which of course kept building and building as I climbed further and further. It felt all very synchronous and perfect, despite the fact that I don't generally think Tiesto is all that good. It was very triumphant coming out on top and we were in fact at a completely surprising part of the field, my random hunch being correct. This victory more than made up for the earlier troubles with the riverbank. We went straight to a lone tree in the middle of the field that provided nice shade and resting area.

I put on some Vibe Tribe I didn't know and got a common music effect I get often when tripping to a satisfactory level. This is more common if it is some good trance that I'm not familiar with--knowing a song well takes away from the effect a bit. Anyway the effect is another room comparison, it feels as though I am bouncing around in a musical room, and the repeating themes of trance music help this. Every now and then I'll bounce into another room when a new beat is introduced. CEVs often reflect this, having certain themes and those change when I feel as though I enter another room. Depending on the way the music changes, the room can instead morph without me necessarily switching rooms. Music also feels much more positional, as if I have an auditory field much like one's visual field that each musical instrument or sound occupies a section of. This auditory field doesn't necessarily have a shape but somehow almost always feels full with the sounds that the music has. None of these musical effects are really unique to 2c-e though.

At one moment I felt like the drug had begun to give me just sort of generic psychedelic effects and not much differentiated it from other psychedelics anymore. About five seconds after I began thinking this, a sample in the Vibe Tribe song said "they all do sort of the same thing...that is rearrange what you thought was real" which was another very synchronous moment. If I had to describe this drug in one word it would be synchronicity. While there were some very valid coincidences, I had that general feeling a lot more than I would have without the drug. I liked the feeling a lot because it made moments of the trip feel more meaningful, like they were supposed to happen. I think 2c-e makes it easier to perceive individually all of the different factors that come together to make the moments one experiences.

I was actually somewhat hungry at this tree (T+5:30 perhaps) and ate an apple, it was pretty good. Throughout the whole trip I also had enjoyed sour patch kids from time to time. I also felt how the drug was stimulating to a degree. At times I felt body energy that was a tad uncomfortable but not a lot so I didn't really mind. It was definitely less misplaced body energy than I got from my one experience with a DOx.

S and I did another gravity bong but it didn't really boost the trip much, the drug's action was clearly waning. We walked around a bit, on the train tracks for a while, and eventually made our way back to our bikes. Rush sounded particularly good during the train track walk. Some of my joints were pretty sore by this point but who knows if it was the drug or just that I had been biking and hiking since I woke up. We biked most of the way home but stopped in a beautiful field about ten minutes from my house to relax. I felt pretty satisfied with the day. I still had a small amount of visual activity but the trip was pretty much over by this point, T+7:30.

I was extremely impressed with 2C-E, after having been let down from a 17mg trial. My only frustration with the drug was how long it took me to start tripping. I was at a very weak +2 until 3.5 hours in. The drug's level of effect did not seem like the typical come-up, plateau, come-down associated with LSD, a chemical of similar length. Instead it was more like the top half of a circle, increasing in strength all the way to the peak and then fairly quickly beginning to decrease.

Nice report! Thanks for sharing. I like the depth at which you described the effects. It is indeed interesting how 2C-E seems to make one so aware of the synchroicities of each moment. I also really like the way you described its effects as the top half of a circle... I find that to be the case as well.
