Okay so a fellow BLer and I are going to be meeting for the first time over some 2c-e. Unfortunately, neither of us has a triple beam balance or digital mg scale. So we cordially ask, how do we go about dosing?

Thanks to all! <3

Between 2 bluelighters, you should know better. If you can afford drugs, you can afford a mg scale.

Either find a scale online, or ask someone who has a scale to borrow it....weighing 2C-E is the only way you can dose it safely, sorry dude.

Get a mid grade scale. A .01 should do, and measure out your full amount to be sure you got what you ordered. Then consult the liquid measurement thread in the Archives that I'm way too tired to link right now.

just get a cheap .001g jewelry scale...

Surely not accurate as it should be for things you're going to be ingesting, but certainly it's better than a .01g scale, or guessing.

I have one that has worked very well for me in dosing RC's.

^ This would work to measure your bulk to give an idea of how much one is wrking with, but those cheap ebay diamond scales suck when it comes to measuring a single dose

yeah, liquid measurement is likely more accurate than the cheaper mg scales... from my experience anyway

Very true, but you HAVE to know for sure your starting weight. If you can accurately weigh 100mg or more, you can be accurate in liquid measurement. If you get a .01 scale (which is quite cheap), you can measure out 100mg to within +1 10mg... so it will be from 90-110mg. Then dissolve it in 100mL of distilled water and/or alcohol, and each mL will contain between .9 and 1.1mg. This is accurate enough. It would still be best to get a good scale, but this will certain work for your purposes. And it requires that you only weigh it out once.

Also, using this method, the more material you start with, the more accurate it will be. For example, if you weigh out 1000mg, you'll have between 990 and 1010mg in actuality. So if you dissolve in 1000mL, you'll have between .99 and 1.01mg per mL, which is extremely accurate, probably more accurate than weighing a single dose with anything but a scale accurate the the microgram level.

You know how much you have? Like from your vendor? Lets say they told you 500mg.

Now go get a cough syrup cap, a glass, some plastic wrap, and a dropper with measurements.

Take that cough cup, fill it to 5 tsp (25ml) and pour into the glass twice. Now you have 50ml of liquid. Make one of those tsp's be vodka, for purity. So have 9tsp water and 1 tsp vodka

Add all the 2c-e to the water/vodka, it takes a bit to dissolve but it will.

Now use your dropper. You were told you had 500mg, but in case they overshot you, we are gonna pretend its 550mg (+10% in whatever case).

So now you have 550mg in 50ml. 1 ml will contain 11mg of 2c-e.

I have a dropper with .5ml increments and this method works perfectly. Its safe, and stable.

when done with the mix, cover with plastic wrap to avoid evaporation. If evaporation does occur, remember the 2c-e didnt leave, the water did.

Thanks for the advice, delsymfan! I just finished my solution. I did 250mg dissolved in 50ml. The 50 ml consists of 30ml vodka (good stuff :) ) and 20ml water. I have calculated that if I want a 15 mg trip, I will need to consume 3ml of the solution. I'm excited to try it for the first time next friday night with a fellow BLer. Should be loads of fun!

<3 Thanks again for all of your help!

:)

I wouldn't use teaspoons and such. Get yourself an analytical pipette or at the very least get a syringe with ml increments.

I like the density to be 1mg/ml, because unless you have an analytical pipette (or buret, or volumetric flask) you can't be guaranteed that the gradations are accurate. For instance, if you use an oral syringe from your local drug-store, the ml gradations on the side of the syringe are stamped on by machine and are not necessarily very accurate. Its better to increase the volume of solution in this instance, because you could inadvertently overshoot your dosage without knowing it.

Just so you know you sometimes find .001g scales for real cheap on amazon. They aren't terribly good but i'm sure its accurate at say 100mg.

I have also found .01 scales for very cheap in head shops and online.

As other have said, it really is not safe to just assume that what you bought weighs exactly as advertised. Often vendors won't waste time making it exact and instead will just give you extra.

I don't have a .001 (mg) scales but I have access to .0001 scales at work that I measure out 150mg and dissolve it in 50ml of DI water for a 3mg/ml solution. I do it with a plastic measured syringe. Very accurate.

im thinking about doing this recipe,
20ml whiskey (40% ) + 5 ml citric acid
+ 50mg 2ce.
in mason jar.
