I feel like theres probably already some discussion about this but i havent found it so far... especially as I have a cat and 2c-e and cat has predictible results.

so, yeah, i thought the first few times "you're imaging things as you are tripping" but my cat does seem to very literally get a contact trip... am i just tripping balls or does this happen somehow?

i have some video that is either of a very normal cat or of a cat tripping balls.

Did 2ce the other weekend with a friend who has 2 cats. He picked up one and was petting it for a while then suddenly freaked out and dropped it because the cat's gone nuts from contact high from mushrooms before.
And he did start acting weird after that, wagging his tail furiously and racing about the house, jumping and crashing around. Normally he's pretty chilled out, but apparently he was acting strange as he had on shrooms. So I'd guess that most drugs could give a contact high to animals? Who knows. It sure seems like it though, ime

roflamo post videos!!! nah when im on LSD i feel my dogs n cat know im tripping or somthings wrong with me they usally stare at me or huddle up next to me......i love having animals around while tripping......

I used to know a guy that thought he could communicate with the kitties while tripping. Not sure if 2c-e would aid in this but thought I'd throw that out there. He also thought cats were smarter than dogs because they made you earn their love...I tend to think if I feed them and clean up their shit that a pet should come when I am in the mood.

rofl you can never earn a cats love they just demand eat sleep and fuck up the flywire on my windows :!

I think this is totally true. It used to happen with my cat every time I was tripping.

I was convinced it was because the cat was Psychic and could sense our brains on another level, but contact high makes more sense - is being psychic related to your ability to pick up a contact high though?

Can someone explain how this contact high works?

Other than ingesting the substance, how would a pet get high?

Sweat!
..or other bodily fluids. Idk how many of you piss on your cats but you never know

hi all, my dog always knows what mood am i in, as soon as i enter the house (probably before).. She knows exactly when to come and greet me and when to just ignore me..
When tripping this becomes even more evident,, sometimes in kinda harsh trips going back and forth from feeling good to bad, my dog comes and plays with me when im doing ok, and leaves me alone when im a little pissed. In fact, sometimes while feeling a little hostile (while tripping) i call her to try and cool off but she refuses to come. When i go back to "childish happiness" she's right by my side real soon.

And now, interesting story about my dog and 2-ce:
I tried 2c-e rectally for the first time, and had no petroleum jelly or whatsoever, so i used olive oil as a lubricant. The thing is, the shot-glass i used to make the 2c-e/water solution, was later used to put in the olive oil (there was very little 2c-e remaining, 1.5mg at the most, only what you could scrap from the dry bottom). Well, the thing is that at some point during my trip, the dog ate the olive oil, and whatever 2c-e was left in the shot-glass--
I realized about this when i went out to the backyard and saw my dog laying on her pillow in the mellowest position i've ever seen her on.. I called her and she looked at me like saying "no way im getting up dude" (bear in mind i was also tripping).. I got suspicious but not totally sure that she was high,, went to the bathroom and she had indeed eaten the olive oil..
Now, i love my dog and felt awful about having drugged her! So i ordered her to get inside (so i could see how she was doing and maybe take her to the vet if needed).
My dog really prefers some music over other. She comes into my room whenever i play moby's tunes, i think that's her favorite band (is this even possible?).. Well, i stopped listening to my usual modern jazz (way too loud and fast to be tripping, specially if you have no idea what's going on and you're a dog!!!) and played mozart for the rest of the night.
I can definitely tell you that she was tripping, i've never seen her so,, relaxed, she looked like classic text-book phens bodyload..

My dealer's cat got into his acid stash and ate an unknown amount. He came home it the cat rolling around on the floor surrounded by blotters.
Cat basically went nuts for the rest of the night, really 'hyper,' furious tail wagging, jumping around, running and crashing into things, absolute madness. Apparently the cat has never acted the same since.. :\

Me and my cat get along very well when I am tripping out. She vibes with me... and well really start acting wild when the trip starts getting weird. I think they just feel the vibes in the room... and when your tripping your mind can start sending out all sorts of energy with which your pet will feel in some sort of way. I feel like they notice when things are a little different a little stranger. Me and my cat have had very solemn moments and very frantic moments. All is cool....

Maybe things just seem more connective when you're tripping. Who knows?!?

They smell the drug/'s in our sweat, and they pick up on subtle changes in mannerisms, and behavior (ie staring at the wall). Btw there's nothing that fucks up your trip like a seizuring dog that got into an AMT stash! Haha

This is also what I've read elsewhere and it does seem that my cat picks up on it through scent.

The first time I noticed my cat behaving oddly as a result of the state I was in, I tried to ignore it, but it still got under my skin. He behaved like he didn't recognize me at all and acted threatened by my presence. Most of the time he stayed in hiding, but he didn't seem to want me out of view. Every time I moved from one room to another, he followed but made evident "keep your distance" displays.

On this first occasion, I was pretty strongly affected, so I mostly tried to ignore the behavior since it was really creeping me out and I was wondering how much of it I might be hallucinating.

On a later occasion at a threshold dose, the cat started behaving the same. I decided to lay down in bed, close my eyes, and concentrate on what I was experiencing. The cat could be heard pacing around the bed until he finally jumped up on the bed then cautiously climbed over me so that he could inspect my face from a safe distance. I wasn't sure quite what he was doing until I opened my eyes and saw him staring at me like he was seeing a stranger. He let out a low, short hiss, backed away, then jumped off the bed trying to keep an eye on me the whole time.

This second occasion I was barely noticing any affects unless I closed my eyes and focused. Mentally, I was still very clear-headed. Also my girl was around on this occasion and the cat showed no odd behavior toward her. Very unsettling...

Your animals aren't actually getting high. So little, if any, of any drug is excreted in sweat, and transdermal dosing isn't very effective either.

Animals are very attuned to body language, have you ever seen an abused animal that for the rest of their life freaks out at any sort of seeming aggressive movements?

The animals can tell you're acting strange and act strange in response, it's a behavioral thing not a chemical reaction from some minuscule transdermal dosing.

I wish this stupid 'you can get your pets high by touching them' myth would go away. There's no science behind it.

Agreed - it certainly doesn't seem like my cat gets any kind of contact high. He just appears to recognize that something is "off" with me. The contact high theory never really made much sense to me.

Cats seem to sense out your personality and treat you like wise (my cat is nicer after I show any stress, will come up and rub up against my leg and chill out a bit) but when you trip your ultimately getting to know your real self or becoming your newer self a bit slower or faster however you tend to bring it out. When a cat sees you act like that they more than likely are more interested than usual because when you have a cat you can be a factor in helping determining some of its own personality (lazy, bringing dead animals to the door for food trying to show appreciation to you, anything!) by forming whatever interactional relationship you have. When i come home and turn on the TV me and my cat can hear each others thoughts know each others mood, ect i mean if you want to call it psychic abilities you can. Me and my cat can transfer vibes about how we feel about certain situations, example: certain people being over or what were doing. But at the same time I dont just sit around and fucking telecommunicate with my cat constantly and be obsessed with it and the fact that we understand a psyche, we just live in the house together and take up whatever space we feel like. Comparing to a dog they seem to maintain a relationship based upon when they can be a best friend and include themselves for some companion like enjoyment. But i think cats tend to deal with possible fear imposed situations a little smarter then a more simple outlook of a dog.

What i think i saw in the video is your animal stretching out getting comfortable, guessing it was night time maybe a little tired and then it probably noticed your random increased interest in the whole constant surveillance as you are acting strange definitely by the double take look it knows you should be observing something about him when hes just laying out in the room on the seat or whatever your on next to you. So confusion may be in the air or maybe it thinks something important with you has happened today and have been in an uplifted mood and might think you are a little over fascinated about nothing because you have always lived there. then it looks away as to get on its on ground but knowing your still pointing something at it and straight at it still so it looks away again to obtain a normal type of boundaries/living space attention. Then starts playing with something as a distraction(passed off as playful mood also dilated pupils deals with not only absorbing light but also feeling good about something/liking it) but pretty quickly notices that your perfectly still and stuck in the past about some event that you somehow deemed important when the cat knows whats happening. You can tell it goes a little deeper into thought about it for a moment and compresses that whole thought about you into the possible future. Still wondering what's happening inside your skull (hopefully knowing its not important) but again you are looking straight at it and it doesn't know what to do so it diverts its attention across the room your in a couple times and could be anything from frustrated to uncomfortable, ect. by now. If a stranger did exactly that to my cat it would probably consider it rude but still just take it almost completely light heartedly or just leave the room/person. I can detect it all pretty fast but have never had to try and put something like this into words, MIGHT be slightly inaccurate but like Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) says in a song "I can feel that the eyes are watching.." a bit different than the average being.
