Mid last month, some friends, family and I made plans to attend an art and music festival which would not only have a ridiculous music line-up but also have an array of art installations including several installations I'd really wanted to see since the man burned in the Nevada Desert. The theme was Alice in Wonderland and the promoters did an awesome job at not only organizing the event but also decorating the venue to visual perfection. Psychedelics have been my substance of choice since we first met; well actually, psychedelics are the only substance for which I have a genuine appreciation, love and respect (product of a few proper psychedelic ass whoopings). Nothing else, not mdma, coke, smokes or even alcohol, have ever really interested me. At this event, I decided I wanted to do a combo of 15mg 2c-e and 25 mg 4-aco-dmt. Prior to entering the venue, I took 10mg Loratadine and 60 mg pseudoephedrine to reduce the phlegm I've experienced previously with 2c-e. I will not include time frame references, as they would be completely untrue as time became completely meaningless and nonexistent.
I dosed the 2c-e as soon as we entered the venue, knowing that it takes the longest to take effect. As soon as I noticed the come up, I dosed the 4-aco-dmt, aiming for a simultaneous peak. Last sober words I remember, "You can’t dance to this music, this is the type of music that you vibrate to!" Now... to describe the visuals. Initially, colors heightened and sounds kind of reverberated, echoed, were elongated, just like time. As I ascended to my peak, I was awed by the frequency of sound visuals; it was a strong mix between sound visuals I'd gotten on acid and shrooms, beautiful. Wasn't done peaking. The characteristic Persian rug of 2c-e blanketed my visual field, making everything patterned red, green, brown, translucent beautiful. People seemed too distant for comfort and I kept moving closer to them. Wasn't done peaking. I fell into a lucid dream at this moment, not an unfamiliar occurrence, I've always been ridiculously sensitive to psychedelics and mdma, and lucid dreaming is something that I have grown to love. The first performer finished his set and we decided to explore our surroundings and go scope out some of the art. I was "leading" our group and blindly bumped into a person, then a tree, I realized here that my visuals were so intense I could no longer see beyond my psychedelic kaleidoscope.
I grabbed my cousin by the shoulder and told her I could no longer see and was not okay to be left alone. She is my rock and tripping partner so I can entrust her with my safety while tripping. She guided me and as I looked ahead, my world was sectioned off in horizontal strips, which moved freely of each other and switched positions as they pleased. The ground was included in the horizontal strips, which made walking an adventure since there would be pieces of the sidewalk suddenly at eyesight level and sections of the sky at ground level. There were metallic sparks of light, like Disney pixies, decorating the landscape. The art installations were unbelievable, one especially, the syzygryd, was by far cooler than I expected it to be. I'd gone with high expectations for the syzygryd and it met them at every level. Its tunes and light/ fire displays synchronized perfectly with my trip and body. We sat for a while at the different installations spoke with a couple of the artists (burners!!!) and then went back for another music set.
I reached my psychedelic peak at this new set. My hallucinations were the strongest I've ever had. While dancing away, my surroundings dissolved and I found myself in a blue forest with people who all seemed to have stopped moving. I would look toward the outside of the arena and wonder if the outside was real, if we would ever go out, if we would be welcomed by the people out there if we did exit and hoped not to get lost in my forest. The music was still playing and I only noticed people moving, as they would walk past me, morphing into blue trees. The hallucinations were so realistic and undeniably clear that I noticed the texture of the bark and smelled the crispness of their air. I'd completely lost concept of reality, told my cousin this and told her I could not take my trip anymore. 2c-e is notorious in its ability to overwhelm me and make me repeatedly feel like I cannot handle my trip or like I over did it. A short while after, we decided to go and sit for a little while in a patch of grass that was illuminated by a maze of lights. I sat and eventually lay down on my cousin’s legs. I told her not to let me go and not to let me sink into myself. As I looked at her, parallel images of her face radiated from her, like a halo made of faces. She reassured me I'd be fine and said, "I got you girl, you got this."
We moved on from this area once my peak subsided. I was still hallucinating but it became more manageable. As we walked from stage to stage, the landscape seemed completely alien. We'd walked there previously a bunch of times yet it felt new every time. Conversations were hilarious and we would say the strangest things and laugh at the most random findings. Fruit tasted really REALLY good and buying food from the vendors felt like we were buying food from a farmers market and we were part of a community or village of outlandish individuals. This was toward the end of the night and my visuals still going strong were akin to maybe 2 hits of acid.
Dancing and music on this combo were unbelievable! I loved it as I love the way psychedelics make my body feel, if you want to call it euphoric, so be it. I don’t really think I'd call it euphoric, e is euphoric, psychs give you a changed perception and a body feeling of oneness and an energy which particular to this combo was split half way between goofy, childish, loopy and serious, powerful, magical. This was one of my best experiences with 2c-e and 4-aco-dmt. They synchronized beautifully and exponentiated the visuals either one would give you alone. I would definitely recommend it and hope to experiment with this combo again soon.
