Doubling is okay for when you have not reached even the threshold dose yet. I can't really think of a situation or compound where you would go from sub-threshold to overdose with doubling. But the more novel a structure you are researching the more additional caution is probably warranted. Though you should not assume too much (possibly false) security from homologous compounds either. By the way I am still confused about 2C-iP let alone 25iP-NBOMe. Maybe not everyone actually has pure 2C-iP material but it seems like people got differing reactions to it. Anyway I haven't heard much that tells me I'm missing something special there.
Anyway back to 2C-D
ROAs like insufflating, plugging or IM injecting seem to be wildly potentiating, hard to say that it's only quantitative - people have mentioned that compounds like 2C-D or 2C-C can be a whole different animal, very wild. I'm interested in trying IM injection with some 2C's, I wonder if that would be a particularly unwise idea or that IV is mostly the unwise route. Also I just read a recent post about someone finding 25I-NBOMe more stimulating when insufflated, I think this could be true for the far majority of compounds that have a stimulant potential, don't you think? So what about IM-ing, I think this avoids a lot of body load but what about stimulation? And what about plugging, same questions.
