For me, absolutely not.
And honestly, on the subject of cannabis strains, there can only be so many variations out there. And even individual plants of those variations will have differing percentages of certain cannabinoids. Hell, even some of the same strain will essentially the relevant cannabinoids entirely.
Not to mention the processes the plant undergoes in our bodies in order to be fully metabolized.
Most importantly, neurotransmitter concentration at that particular moment. That includes variations between neurotransmitter concentration in the brain and gut as well, which are constantly changing.
Even with the most consistent diet and sleep, it will never result in the same experience. Sometimes it will be entirely paradoxically opposite, entirely dependent on things outside of our control. No matter how much we attempt to optimize and regulate these variables.
Our hormonal profile at any given minute changes a lot too. As well as our relevant enzyme levels and countless other pieces of the puzzle.
The older I get, the more and more I believe that for the most part, strains are *almost* purely marketing gimmicks. Indica and sativa are only vaguely consistent indicators of what to expect. And even then, one day a certain indica could have couch-locked, whereas another day of the same week, the exact same indica would have me ready for the gym.
It’s all marketing and placebo. My apologies for the ramble, but I think this topic is well worth a deeper examination from a realistic point of view.
