25-x and stroke symptoms

So I got some acid the other day (I expected a 25-x chemical but he said acid) and dropped it last night. It was obviously some 25-x substance as my mouth went numb. Well I decided to smoke spice through the trip and it was fun, no visuals though. About halfway through the trip, the whole right side of my body went numb and limp for about 10 secs on and off about 4 times. The left half of my mouth was wet and the right dry. I have heard that half your body goes numb right before a stroke. Any ideas why it happened or has it happened to anyone else. I couldn't find any info on it anywhere and still have a tab left. Should I take it without spice this time?

You need to see a doc. No one here can help you out with that. You played the RC combo russian roulette. You could have gotten anything on that tab, and you never know what chem is in a bag of spice. You gotta take that stuff into consideration.

But yea, body parts on a localized part of your body... You need to get that checked out, that is way to dangerous of a side effect to just let it ride.

This is exactly why there should be free testing gear at shows and stuff like that.

Will do. also on spice random veins seem to tweak in small areas all the time. Fuck drug tests man.

Agreed. Psychedelic distortion effects on proprioception and localized paraesthesia like effects could have accounted for the transient numbness.
It wasn't a stroke, but it could have been a TIA which is similar (like a short-lived stroke that solves itself) - which doesn't necessarily have permanent effects and can also commonly cause paralysis or numbness of half of your body.

he means a reagent test abling you to positively identify your substance.
I meant probation tests. I cant touch weed. I heard there was some lab you could send a small sample to for them to test? Anyone know anything about that?

A TIA is what worries me as they tend to be signs of a future stroke.

I'll bet anything you imagined it after convincing yourself something was wrong, there may have been some initial feeling that was real. you notice something and you can't take your mind off of it and eventually it feels as real as anything but isn't. The body goes numb on one side during a stroke because a clot forms somewhere in the brain, and whichever side it forms on will have a reduced ability to send signals throughout the body. Usually during a stroke, you will notice things like your mouth and eye stooping noticeably on one side. I doubt he had a TIA. Unless he's really old and in bad cardiovascular health id chalk it up to overanalyzing a problem with anxiety.

"I'm tripping and my body feels strange, is that normal?"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyUFB-Ce4Z0 his elbow feel funny, his elbow feel strange.

I had a non drug related stroke and the right side of my body went numb, it didn't go away in a day or a year either, its still that way. And it came with a total loss of balance, that did come back in a few weeks, thank god. You maybe could have a minor stroke and not know it, but there was no way i could ignore it. I have never heard of a half dry mouth, but i am also not a doctor. Get an MRI no one here can tell you what is happening with your brain. I would be as worried about the spice as the nbomes, my only other advice is toss that crap in the garbage.

Cannabinoids are known for causing paranoia and panic reactions to individuals who are under the influence of psychedelics. An associate of mine recently took himself to the hospital while on 25C-NBOMe because he convinced himself he was suffering vasoconstriction that was about to become fatal. He convinced himself that the parasthesia he was feeling in his hands and feet was in fact the flesh dying from extensive vasoconstriction which was spreading up his limbs to his heart. He could not be convinced otherwise and traveled to the hospital post-haste. He didn't tell them he was on anything, and they checked him out, gave him oxygen, and told him he had a panic attack. There was no vasoconstriction. This is probably very similar to what you experienced. It still might be wise to have yourself examined though, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Also, let me just say that the problem with spice, like any branded recreational drug, is that you have no idea what is in it at what dosage. Synthetic cannabinoids are already something that one needs to be really careful with to begin with, you don't need to add further unknowns to the combo. You really don't know what could be in it at all. There have been reports of blends of whatever cannabinoids happen to be in stock, regardless of if they have ever been assayed together or not, and I've even heard reports of other random-ass shit thrown in, such as O-Desmethyltramadol and other opiates. If you want to play with cannabinoids, order them pure, you will have much more control over what you're using, and if you really prefer to have it as plant matter that you can smoke out of your bong, you can make your own "spice" without too much effort. There are so many unknowns when using research chemicals, you should avoid adding more whenever possible.

Look in to Bell's Palsy and check your face. (Happened to me) Also a stroke can go undiagnosed for a quite a long time with almost/no symptoms showing. Please see a doctor anyway.

Yeah, I'd go for some random temporary palsy. However, none of us are neurologists (can't even spell it!) & even if we were, diagnosis over the internets is fraught!

If you have suffered some minor stroke (it'd have to be minor to have such a detrimental effect but for such a short time) or some palsy-type problem it can't do any harm to see a doctor.

Something kinda similar happend to me on the dancefloor at Escape From Samsara, musta been mid 90's would be my guess. One side of my face went numb. There was no loss of muscle tension, no classic droop, no loss of speech or balance or anything & the sensation wore off after only a few minutes. I was slightly concerned but I've heard of this sort of thing so I shrugged it off. Some years later I had a GP friend with whom I often discussed drugs related problems & somehow this EFS dancefloor story came up. She told me that in fact we are all havng teeny, tiny strokes all the time, as our braincells replace themselves naturally. Normally no obvious outward effects are noticed but occassionaly we notice some numbness or tingling somewhere on the body & it might be related to this regeneration of nerve cells that the human body goes through regularly through it's life cycle.

None of that ^ is to suggest for one moment that you shouldn't speak to your doc about it, you symptoms sound worse than mine & I have no idea as to your general fitness, existing illness, medication etc

Please take care & return to let us know how you are, coz we do care! :)

I'm not sure that a numb mouth is an indicator that you consumed an NBOMe. I have taken 6 different substances in the family and never noticed that any of them numbed my mouth. They just seem a bit bitter to me.

All the nbombs ive done always numb my mouth. Acid doesnt. It was so fucking bitter too.

Having had a stroke myself when I was 17, all I can say is that TRUST ME if you had a stroke severe enough to cause paralysis, you'd know you had a stroke ;)
