I have found 23
Through the alleys and the streets
Through the rain and cold concrete
I hear the sound of symphony

An apple to me, an orange to you
But yet I hold a grudge
Your best was not enough
But who am I to judge

Young in age, but angry in soul
When did I choose to grow so cold
Dark pages in a darker book
You'll find rage, dare you look

Shame in something I let slip
But you cannot hold what you don't grip
Now naked I stand, no less of a man
Proud to show who I am

Push through pain in order to grow
To never try is to never know
Now I look up instead of down
Naked and fearless I will not be bound

I see the potential of this life
I will face my inner strife
I have found 23
Or maybe it is 23 that has found me

I can relate to this well. The synchronous events in my life seem like madness to others.

Awesome, I'm glad someone who knows the significance of the number 23 was able to read this. Although it is also my age, it is not what the piece is about.
