I have found 23
Through the alleys and the streets
Through the rain and cold concrete
I hear the sound of symphony
An apple to me, an orange to you
But yet I hold a grudge
Your best was not enough
But who am I to judge
Young in age, but angry in soul
When did I choose to grow so cold
Dark pages in a darker book
You'll find rage, dare you look
Shame in something I let slip
But you cannot hold what you don't grip
Now naked I stand, no less of a man
Proud to show who I am
Push through pain in order to grow
To never try is to never know
Now I look up instead of down
Naked and fearless I will not be bound
I see the potential of this life
I will face my inner strife
I have found 23
Or maybe it is 23 that has found me
Through the alleys and the streets
Through the rain and cold concrete
I hear the sound of symphony
An apple to me, an orange to you
But yet I hold a grudge
Your best was not enough
But who am I to judge
Young in age, but angry in soul
When did I choose to grow so cold
