20mg Promethazine (Enough to stop the itch?)

Sorry about the simpleton question but i ingested 20mg Promethazine about 30 mins ago (i usually take 50mg Diphenhydramine/Promethazine) but 20mg was all i had left, i now have my poppy pods brewing away, around 10 miutes before the tea will be ready.

Will 20mg Promethazine be enough to stop the itches?
