20mg of AMT following 180mg of dxm 24 hours later?

The post pretty much asks my question, this would be a reasonably safe idea, don't you all think?

edit: I meant to put 24 hours in the title, was just an accidental typo
 
Why wouldnet it? I actualy remember reading somewhere that serotonin agonists help combat neurotoxicisity of NMDA antagonists but dont qoute me.
 
Although the MAOI action of AMT is pretty weak and should be mostly out of your system anyway (I think) I wouldn't personally choose to combine it with DXM with it's associated risks concerning MAOIs and Serotonin Syndrome. I suspect you would be just fine, but it's not a risk worth taking, in my opinion.

Is there any particular reason you want to use DXM so soon after AMT?

It's the opposite way around, the DXM was used first.
 
Oops! Misread the title there :o

According to wiki the halflife of DXM is 1.4–3.9 hours so should be pretty well out of your system so you should be good to go :)

I had a recent run in with (suspected and totally unexpected) SS - involving LSD of all things - so am very wary of it now even when it seems highly unlikely, but I would consider it safe to do myself if I used DXM. Of course, I'm no medical man - and certainly no DXM expert - so am prepared to be put right on that.

Ah, yeah, the dose is actually for someone I love more dearly than myself. I'm actually 100x more wary than I would be while putting the dose in my body, that's one reason why it's an incredibly big deal for me, and giving them a serious case of SS would be the last thing I wanted to do.

I'm thinking heavily about putting it off until tomorrow, it may be the more responsible thing to do, I'm thinking. Although like you said, with that short of a half life, at this point in time it may actually not matter at all. Such a hard decision to make! :p
 
I also cannot offer conclusive advice but better safe than sorry right?
Maybe the question is: would it be that important to be able to do both in this timeframe, or is there an alternative moment possible which would also allow your body to rest a bit inbetween?
 
Hmm I'm tempted to say there is no such thing as guaranteed safety. I don't mean to be lame or anything but even stone cold sober doing nothing at home there is always something that can happen. When you take drugs the chances of complications go up, that is just how it is.
That is not what you mean though, in all probability with that interval there should be no interaction. My opinion is that it sounds responsible enough if before all this you haven't been doing a lot of heavy using that would deplete you chronically. It's all relative though, who will decide what is enough precaution? I think you're generally in the clear... gosh I hope I don't come off like an overly careful lawyer or something lol :D
But there you have it.
