Yup, still allowed to protest in America. You're talking trash about surveillance and things I don't like either while agreeing with Trump that it's OK to use the military on people you don't agree with.

Other way around, you're coping because you don't like the idea that the leftist bandwagon, that is reliant on state power to survive, might come to an end.

We see the same thing in the UK and Europe, all these leftist idiots who keep up the 'hope not hate', 'refugees welcome', 'trans bla bla', etc, are now getting nervous because the right is starting to mobilize and gain political ground.. because the average person is absolutely sick to the back teeth of it all at this point. They can now see the tangible consequences of it all and are (finally) prepared to speak/act against it.

You do realize all these groups, like Hope not Hate, Antifa, Just Stop Oil, etc.. they are all intelligence operations, right? You do realize this is a little game that has been played by the establishment in order to profit from the inevitable social and political pendulum swing to the right? I will have no sympathy when the ideological collapse of the left happens, when the establishment changes the game and just discards it, like it has done before. The psychological fallout will be so entertaining to watch.

It should be disturbing to ALL Americans that a big part of the Republican message is sowing distrust in the election process while proclaiming early victory. If Harris wins (and she might), they'll be screaming FRAUD! and many fired-up MAGAs will be convinced it was rigged and that they must install Trump by force.
I fear it could get very very ugly.

 
Curious to see the voting data of the Dominican community after this election compared to previous elections after all the recent Haitian stuff. Obviously not a huge voting block but they definitely don't like Haitians
 
A federal appeals court Friday ruled invalid a Mississippi law that allows election officials to count mail ballots that arrive after Election Day as long as they are postmarked by then.
The ruling came less than two weeks before the Nov. 5 presidential election and could have implications for other states with similar laws

The decision tees up the possibility of fights over ballot deadlines in other states with similar laws, including the swing state of Nevada. The disputes in those states could play out now or for future elections

i'm not sure if you're saying this is a good thing or a bad thing. indeed, you rarely post commentary on your reposts so who knows? :)

i think that newspaper endorsements of political candidates, especially at the national level, are becoming something of an anachronism. while i think that ownership, editors and journalists understand and respect the wall between news reporting and editorial sides of a news organization, the public generally doesn't see it or do see it and don't care - they don't really differentiate between what's opinion and what's not opinion and just assume bias and an agenda.

fwiw, i think if news organizations want to be credibly considered as independent or objective, then stopping endorsing political candidates is an easy first step.
