2024 US Presidential Election

Hardly the first, in this debate.

The first part of this is mostly what we already know about the psychology of Trump.

It gets really interesting about halfway through, presenting a lot of direct quotes from people who worked closely with him and describing how his former guardrails have been completely removed.

Anyone who is thinking "the Trump Presidency wasn't all that bad" needs to really listen to the second half of this...

Earlier in this thread I mentioned the Exonerated Five and that Trump had doubled down on his false assertion of their guilt.
Well, guess what?

So where is the equally damning testimony from those inside the Biden administration, or even the Obama one before that? Do you not think it is just a wee bit strange? I mean you literally have a senile President right now lmao, where is all the character assassination for Biden coming from within the ranks?

You answered your own question when you asked where the damning testimony was.

Fucking hell man, it's literally the NPC Reddit hivemind speaking through her.. "oMg LiTErAl nAzi" - I did quite like the "certainly falls into the general definition of fascist" line haha.. as if prefixing the word 'general' to definition gives them an out clause for that attack. Note the contradiction between 'certainly' and 'general'.. I think this probably my new favourite political speak example I've ever heard, it's ridiculous.

Bottom of the barrel shite. Like, you literally have nothing else to offer up to people other than these spurious armchair psychoanalytic personality attacks? It's so pathetically transparent, I can't believe this is the point we've reached now. Nothing to offer, no actual hope or plans, just 'my opponent is a Nazi/fascist'.

Yeah it's all infantilized and about emotions with them, like everything is seen through the lens of Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings or whatever. Bunch of adult children

If R's end up with the House, Senate and White House, the first thing they should do is pass comprehensive election security. Paper ballots, photo ID, proof of citizenship, no early voting except for U.S. military members overseas and nursing homes, results known on election night

There's no legitimate reason to not enact that system. The D's will roll out their bigotry of low expectations by crying that voter ID laws suppress black voters, but that can just be ignored if the R's have enough seats

you talk as if this single tweet is harris' entire campaign.

the harris campaign has been talking about solutions and policy from day 1 on subjects like inflation, housing, tax and tax credits, immigration, abortion, ivf, guns, climate, education, and more.

if i took a single trump tweet and suggested trump had nothing to offer beyond threats to unleash the u.s. military on citizens, you'd be rightfully indignant. or maybe you wouldn't as you're so, you know, uninterested in u.s. politics :)

I'm not sure what he is calling "fake news". Fox is defending the Nazi generals statement not denying it, and we all heard what he said about the US military on his enemies.

Yeah except it clearly is her campaign. If she actually had any chance of offering any of those things, and if people actually believed it, then calling Trump a Nazi wouldn't even be necessary would it.. you could just focus on those positives to attract the vote.

Not really. Having spend a grand total of 30 seconds looking into it, I can see he was referring to the border situation, radical left-wingers (you nervous bro?), and corrupt people deep within the establishment.

'Citizens' is cutting it fine. Real fine. I mean what the fuck do you think your military has been doing for the past 20 years? You have been spying on your own citizens (and other nations), and naturally that power will have been abused going from digital to physical action against targets. Your military is already being used on citizens. And as we've seen over the past few years, that same apparatus (including the UK component) has been used politically against 'the citizenry' i.e. the Steele dossier and all the agents who publicly endorsed it, and also during the Covid era to a sickening degree.

'Unleashing' is such an embellishment by the MSM anyway. He's clearly not referring to normal law abiding people. Who the fuck cares if he mops up some dreg Antifa losers, BLM activists, deports illegals, and goes after the corrupt people in D.C. That sounds pretty fine and dandy to me. And when he's finished, he can invade the UK and toss out the same here because we have exactly the same issue!

that's funny. look at the content and tone of the two campaigns over the last few months. trump's campaign is the very definition of the word negative.

actually it's hyperbole by me, just now.

He's clearly not referring to normal law abiding people.

lol. ok. that sounds like cope but i'll agree to disagree.
