2017 Trump Presidency Thread

Spacejunk....calm down. Every leader does something a subject may not like. From Bush, to Obama, even Trump. For me to "tolerate" the POTUS is to exist. I made it through 8 years of Obama...perhaps I became unhinged because of him....I maintain no....I have other stuff going on.

I did not gather and scream at the sky in anger. I have not turned a fascist terrorist, dressed in black terrorizing others setting fire to my city. I am not becoming Unamerican.

I will just encourage others to vote.

i'm calm, i'm not attacking you just because i post passionately about politics - i wasn't even addressing you.
i post my thoughts on donald trump in this thread, because that's what it's for.
granted, i don't have anything good to say about him, but that's not uncommon when we're talking about trump. lots of people don't even like to say his name.

it's difficult to gauge what you are saying because i get the impression that you're just being sardonic. i've read enough of your posts over the years to understand that you're brighter than you are letting on with the sort of cliché stuff you've posted above.
i'm not sure if i'm misreading you or if you're being sardonic.

all i know is that some of your posts indicate a proud trump supporter, but when someone asks you - politely or challengingly - to elaborate upon or even give some insight into your support for him, you won't. and that's fine, but you're obviously somewhat interested in politics, and i'm just curious why you won't be drawn on what you do like about him.
the best you'll seem to want to give is say flippant things like "This. I admit, I never realized how irrelevant a President could be....I mean sure I knew they only signed the laws."

it's perplexing - and i'm confused and a little curious.

why are some trump fans so loyal, yet so evasive when it comes to praising him?

Hmmm why isn't the msm talking about how American stake holders can now own 51% of Chinese companies and no longer have to "share" technology. This has scared off expansion into Asia for years, since china is communist they are unable to innovate, so they steal all their ideas from free western nations. This was a big win for trump imo. Granted everything goes as planned.

There were terrorists dressed in black at Charlottesville terrorizing people. Maybe that's not your antifa. Fine, the California democrats are sick from their Marxism...their racism is....their business actually...I cant defend it and don't wish to speak on it beyond Jew hating.

I take no issue with the Democratic party of California other than they are fiscally irresponsible...and I'd hear north to Oregon or Washington if I were out West these days.

But the antifa at berkley ARE facists, dangerous lunatics, and Im glad Ms Pelosi has tried to discourage them...she actually gave me hope.

Like I said, straight trolling.

Nothing of what you are saying here is reflected in reality. You're trying to provoke, nothing more.

In case you think I'm being dismissive:
You keep equating Marxism with socialism with strong-arm police states, and yet you use it casually here to describe CA politics, which I'm sure you know dick about. So these definitions you like to defend aren't even consistent.

So far, for instance, Brown has been taking the state out of the fiscal hole left by his Republican predecessor.

I used to live on the Berkeley border (it blends into Oakland and Richmond), and the media portrait is always ridiculous. Nothing you describe remotely happens. The campus is full of conservative Asian kids.

And again, if there were terrorists dressed in black at Charlottesville, they were fucking terrible shots to miss the goddamned murderers. Remember them? The people who actually killed people. Let's whine about some college kids with black t-shirts on their head instead.

But you know all this, and don't care, but say your shit to try and piss the rational voters off. Well you elected your joke, be proud and own it I guess.

Donald Trump has not lived up to my expectations.

I still support him (grudgingly)
and I have not yet become where I think the country would have been better off with Ms. Clinton.

I certainly am not being misleading...I thought it important to voice to everyone here when his bad political instinct disturbes me (as he did in Charlottesville, even though I commend him for saying there were "very fine people on both sides" when to me...antifa/klan are not fine people...and I don't care for statues honoring men who broke their oath to the Constitution) like any meeting with Durante...or any comments on drug addiction from a teetoler.

Considering Im the only extremely liberal nationalistic libertarian with a STRONG distaste for the US Democratic party I know of personally, I feel my views are my own...you dont have to agree with me...but rest assured I really mean what I say...I know my viewpoint is not "common" and Im cool with that.

I regret telling you to calm down your passion. Even though I don't consider myself "kin" with your POV I have enormous respect for you and am always trying (probably too hard) to find common ground.

Heh...now which thread do I admit I appear to have found an "obama care" policy for free that covers my medications...granted I can hardly believe it...

But I strive for honesty here.. Knowing my pov is unique but still mine.

Scrofula...if the people in Charlottsville were murderers....call the police. If they are Southerners upholding what their perceive to be their history... I believe in USA they had a right to turn out and visibally vocalize their ignorance. Free speech is what makes this country great. Antifa are just like the kkk....they are terrorists and unamerican. Kkk dresses in white, antifa in black. Both start fires, both try to suppress what they hate. Thankfully the kkk is irrelevant and out of power. Antifa appears irreleventt too...GOOD!

Noted....Ms. Pelosi said antifa are scum; I know antifa does not equate to the Democratic party. I didnt know Australia had "antifa" too...makes no difference... if you terrorize others who think different from you...then you aren't good people. And if you do it dressed in sheets with hoods, you can be downright terrorfying to some. Me, I wouldn't call it funny but the fact that antifa mimics the kkk in dress and action seems by design. What a lampoon!

Antifa doesn't "mimic" the kkk. That's a ridiculous comment.
Maybe you would learn something if you read the posts in this forum.

I post about australian anti-fascism all the time, so you're either not paying any attention, or you're playing dumb.
Again - i don't know, but antifa are good people.

I'm a good person; i care about the welfare of people in my community, which is why i stand up with other people to make nazis and racists as unwelcome as possible.

Anti-fascism is a fantastic and admirable thing to be involved in. Every antifascist i know is a fine person.
How many antifascists do you know, mgs?

Whoa, I missed that? You remember how that dude intentionally drove his car into those people and killed them right?

Do you think they were Southerners upholding their history?

Do you think they had a right to kill those people? Was that free speech? Is that your vision of how America should be?

Later you'll have the same conversation about how if I criticize those murderers, I'm the fascist.

You're a goddamned mod on this forum.

Yeah, I'm done with it.

FFS, I've had better discussions with the assholes at Breitbart, and even they know not to defend fucking Nazis (openly).

Racist trolling threads and posts (like the Poland thread -- a Priest specialty) invite caustic posts.

And it's apparently "blua okay" to post idiotic, disingenuous memes for "non-readers"; disgusting, intolerant spammy YouTube crap links; and ignorant racist vitriol? However, don't call someone a racist, a bigot, or a pos white nationalist who inflicts this filth into a discussion?

This issue needs to be addressed by the moderators of this forum and any BLers who substantively contribute on a regular basis.

For this forum, post reporting is not always the best answer. Calling someone what they are publicly is of utmost importance in these times.

Cd, are you suggesting I am a racist? I don't consider myself a white man and do internally and externally separate myself from the majority.

If this makes me a racist or a bad man...and anyone feels I reflect bluelight in a negative light, I am sure the admins will ket me know. Im trying hard to post coherent thoughts.

If I am just too deplorable for this forum and my pov deviates too much from the "norm" (illusion), Ill reconsider things.....such as posting here in the future. BL has been good to me....I dont wanna cause trouble.

I wasnt talking about the murderer....I was referencing all actions prior to the moment the scum drove his car.

Im sorry I did not make that clear (again...as I called him a murderer before and for goodness sakes I just assumed....I thought it was clear I was referencing protesters of statues, protesters against southerners, and was not defending the murderer.

Mgs, the name of the President of the Philippines is Rodrigo Duterte, as you were politely informed earlier.

I don't expect that you would know this simply because you moderate CE&P and choose to discuss Duterte, but you should because this is Bluelight.

I'm reminding you again because Duterte wants to murder every drug user, dealer and individual 'involved in the drug trade' in the Philippines. This group has, of course, included some of his now former political opponents and protesters, who were judged to be 'involved' and summarily executed.

Here's a picture in case you're a visual learner:

Duterte is to the right of your corpulent candidate.

No. This wasn't addressed to you.

I am a visual learner!
Its crazy how people can speak words and its like mandarin...but show me a pic...I get it.

At this point, Ill mispell his name for humor.

I guess you missed my earlier post decrying Trump for embracing Dirtyate.

What is your take on the appropriate action for an (aussie) antifer to take when Ann Coulter comes to town (in usa) to entertain a crowd with her unique way?

Antifa doesn't "mimic" the kkk. That's a ridiculous comment.

How about a random "conservative" speaker with a distaste for Democrats. What is the aussie"anti"fa position when one comes to town? Do you burn the whole place down and threaten violence like the fascist "antifa" does in California?
