Nobody likes paying tax, but i don't resent it.
Pays for healthcare, education, infastructure. I just wish corporations and billionaires would pay their fair share.
These oligarchs steal from the poor and give to the rich. It's criminal.

Also if the taxes would be dedicated to healthcare, education, and infrastructure as opposed to a few living off the backs of many, for say misusing funds to fly on private jets.
Look at the "healthcare" bill that the Republicans have been trying to pass. It's takes away access to healthcare from tens of millions so that tax cut could be bigger. It's disgusting.

I take a very low view of comparing trump to hitler. Much as I hate trump more than I have any other president, I'll be 29 pretty soon, and 30 not long after that. Not that old, but old enough that I now remember first hand people making such comparisons and saying exactly the same things about Bush and Obama. People said they'd suspend elections and make themselves president for life throughout their entire administration. I remember people saying Obama would successfully take away everyone's guns, that he's the antichrist, I heard that shit for 8 years. It's just the same stuff you hear for every president every time. There are slight difference between republican and democrat, but the point is you start to see the patterns and the constant theme is always "this time it's different for X reason".

Yeah, thanks Mr. Dollers, but despite their shared taste in unusual hair placement, there's only superficial similarity. I'm pretty sure Trump couldn't organize a group lunch, much less a military. He might think it's a good idea to invade Russia in the winter though.

I don't like taxes but I like the things taxes buy. I like the roads I drive on. The FDA to keep the food i eat and medicine I take relatively safe. I like the social safety net so I don't get killed on the street for my groceries by a starving person. Plus a million other things.

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but a good 75% of the FDA budget comes from the seller--pharma companies. IOW, if you want to market your product in the US, you pay to do the studies to the FDA's satisfaction, plus fees for them to look at it. You wouldn't want taxpayer money to go to testing every random medical invention out there.
It's similar with the USDA and meat inspection. The inspectors work on site in a pretty grueling job, paid for by the company. I just like pointing out the agencies that aren't wholly taxpayer funded, whenever the tax-freaks start pointing fingers. All those sensational stories about ridiculous "research" at taxpayer expense--a lot of that money comes from DOD, an agency that for some reason doesn't get criticized the same way, despite having a budget larger than the rest of the world's combined.
Disclosure: used to write FDA submissions for a pharma company; did DOD-funded research; eat meat.

I like "the customer is always right" aphorisms, when most of us are stuck with one or two providers. I'm pretty sure Comcast could give a shit what I think about their internet service. What are my other options? DSL.
