^ it's my understanding that their protection is legally mandated.

i don't have a problem with the secret service protecting the president and members of his family.

what sucks is when the president in question is blazing through millions of taxpayer dollars taking many trips after frequently criticizing his predecessor for same.

Trump fans: all that whining about taxpayer dollars when Obama flies home at Chistmas, at least he didnt fucking bill them.

Trump charges the secret service RENT. They pay rent wherever they set up, but try not to get fleeced quite like a manhattan tower that's been marked up "special". Maybe the real reason Melania stayed in NYC, so the Trumps could earn some sweet taxpayer cash.
 
I wonder about all the money earned, or even declared in Trump's Income Taxes. Things that we are probably never going to see.
 
The travel rorts and privileges that Trump allows himself and his entourage to use is a slap in the face to every single person who pays tax and gets dictated what measly minimum wage they are dolled out by their government.

Its the problem a lot of countries face. We have the same fucked up shit here. Our pollies have their own set of rules that set them apart from the rest of us. They have exorbitant travel and expenses allowances that include flying their families buisness class for holidays to see them and are allowed to travel to real convenient luxury travel spots using excuses weakly linked to govt buisness. They have wage increases above and beyond anyone else while not raising minimum wages and cutting penalties. Their superannuation and leaving office pay outs are ridiculous and its us that pays for it.

These people work for YOU. They should not waste your money. They should have to account for every dollar they spend. Trump is working for YOU. If hes fucking off on holiday and not doing his job then he should pay his own way with his money. Hes only been in office less than a year so should have the same leave owing to him that anyone else would. None. Thats lazy.

Fucking get to work slacker.

Do you think anything could have changed more recently that could make trump change his mind?

Did you know that because Isis have been getting battered in Syria and Iraq over the last year that they are heading for Afghanistan again? Which they weren't doing in 2013.
