2017 Trump Presidency Thread

So you're selling your shit for pennies and buying the good stuff at full price.. Not really something to brag about.. And wasn't one of his biggest promise that the US was gonna be refining it's own instead of buying from overseas? Remember JOBS JOBS JOBS MAGA

Actually, we aren't selling shit for pennies.

America has vast reserves of non-conventional oil, which is produced when oil prices are high (it's costly to extract).

Well, it's one of the lowest quality crude on the planet (shit) sold for practically nothing (pennies) My main point was that Trump said throughout his campaign that he was going to refine and use it instead pf buying overseas

facebook post of the year:

I'd like to thank President Trump for his leadership! Here are a fraction of his accomplishments:

Appointing a foreign agent as the National Security Advisor knowing he was under investigation.
Appointing an anti-civil rights and known racist as the Attorney General of the United States.
Lowest approval ratings of any president at this point.
Attacking and ignoring the science of climate change and the EPA.
Appointing unqualified and incompetent individuals such as Pruitt, Devos, Carson, and Perry.
Rolling back protections for transgender students.
Refuses to release his taxes just like any presidents have for the past 40 years.
Losing the respect and the title of the Leader of the Free World.
Under investigation by the FBI.
Failed mission in Yemen.
Two failed Muslim bans.
Disastrous anti-middle class and anti-environment executive orders.
Failed repeal of Obamacare.
Striking an already empty airbase in Syria to distract from low ratings and the Russiagate.
Awkward and embarrassing meetings with foreign dignitaries.
Inviting racist clowns like Ted Nugent and Palin to the Whitehouse.
A ton of golfing.
Obsession with President Obama.
Taking credit for Obama's accomplishments.
Accusing Obama of wiretapping him with no evidence whatsoever.
Tweeting non-sense at 3am.
A whole lot of lies.
No transparency.
Most ethically challenged administration in US history.
Most secretive administration in US history.
Nepotism by giving family members important jobs and deals.
Cronyism by appointing billionaires to his cabinet.
Proposing massive tax cuts for the rich like himself.
Allowing a banned pesticide proven to be dangerous to be used again.
Falsely claiming navy ships going toward North Korea.
ISIS remains in large despite his promises.
Congratulating a Purple Heart recipient.
Introduction to connotative terminology such as snowflakes, alternative facts, fake news and bigly...
Targeting national monuments created by Obama and Clinton.
Signing a bill that allows your private data sold to the highest bidder.
Cutting after school programs, and meals on wheels.
Wasting millions of tax-payers money by wife and kid not moving in to the Whitehouse.
Promoting Mar-A-Lago by Sate Department.
Settled multi-million dollars lawsuit against his fraudulent university.
Dropping one of the largest non-nuclear weapons on earth to kill only 94 ISIS terrorists.
Allowing offshore drilling.
Slowest GDP growth in 3 years. (Fair to blame him since he took credit for good jobs numbers in January and February)
Worst jobs report in nearly a year in Mach.
Making it easy for mentally insane to buy guns.
$1-3 million weekly trips to Florida.
1$ billion lost in tourism.
Inviting a thug like Duterte to the Whitehouse.
Saying "I would be honored" to meet the Dear Leader of North Korea.
Not having a clue about the history of United States as the president of the United States.
Rolling back healthy school lunch standards and Let Girls Learn program promoted by Michele Obama.
Firing the FBI director amid investigating him and his associates on treason.
Leaking classified intelligence to Russians.
Obstruction of justice by asking the FBI to drop the investigation into Flynn.
Demanding loyalty from the FBI.
Proposing deep cuts to public school programs.
Signing an arms deal worth billions of dollars with the world's largest sponsor of radical Islam subsidized by the American taxpayers.
Palling around and dancing with tyrants, thugs, and extremists like Putin, Duterte, and Saudis while abandoning democratically elected heads of states and our true allies.
Pulling out of Paris Climate Deal and joining the club of Syria and Nicaragua.
Inventing the word "covfefe".
Politicizing terrorist attacks and insulting the mayor of London.
Funneling money intended for children's cancer research to his private accounts.i
Blaming Qatar for terrorism and putting US troops stationed there at risk while praising Saudi Arabia which is the godfather of extremism.
Actively under investigation for obstruction of Justice.
Calling AHCA "mean" after celebrating it in the Rose Garden.
Getting sued by over 200 lawmakers and attorney generals for violating the Emoluments Clause.
Undoing Obama's legacy with Cuba and bringing back the bankrupted bans on trade and tourism.
Proposing to ban immigrants from receiving welfare for 5 years when it already exists.
Bragging about his rich cabinet and noting that he doesn't want poor people in those positions.
Admission to lying about having tapes of his conversations with James Comey.
Sexist attacks on journalists and obsession with blood and women.

Bottom line is that we're tired of winning and can't take it anymore.

Funny and also very sad! Bad man is very bad.

No, No, Sorta and as to your final question, we elect a leader in the president, not the smartest guy in the room.

Not to say I shun intellect in a candidate but Obama was a "smart guy" but was far from dominant, we pay to be a superpower....we want the benefits of that, the world should be giving the US a 24/7 rimjob for the pleasure of basking in our aura all these years.
Well, I disagree entirely. I'm glad we could establish a precedent though.

Funny and also very sad! Bad man is very bad.
WRONG! SAD!!!!! Very sad man right here folks.

Speaking of ND sand oil, why don't conspiracy flingers ever look at the timing of that stuff?

It's true that oil has to be above a fairly high price point to even start with a lot of the frakking. One problem recently was Saudi Arabia in essentially a cold war with us by overproducing. They kept prices down. It's nearly wiped out Venezuela, hurting Russia.

US investors? Not a word. What about that oil in Iraq? Did we really go after it and not "take it" as the current non-leader said? Did we damage production in some secret deal/war with Saudi Arabia, a preemptive strike or collusion?

THe conspiracy guys never bring shit like that up. If they do now, they'll say all that timing of those first two wars is Obama/Hillary. Right wingers like oil, you'd it'd be a talking point. (Talking about green and baby seals is too "soft" for this virile crowd)

That sort of discussion requires too much in-depth knowledge for the conspiracy crowd to touch it.
They're far too fixated on fictitious child-abuse cases. Emotive black-and-white, good-and-evil morality tales.
What you're talking about is far too nuanced for the so-called 'truth community' to 'research' (ie speculate wildly upon)

My god, trump supporters talk a lot of shit.
It's like a cult of half-witted bigotry. So much talk, so little content.

You think it's "funny" that neo nazis are killing people, david?

It's really depressing how stupid people can be.

Absolutely. As impressive as it may be, I find that to be quite true.

erikmen is cool af, helped me a bunch of times and which transcend politics, winners don't need to use anything other than logic to smite redpill deniers, calling out individuals in the CE&P is a sure way to banishment.

If we can speak in generalities instead of personal terms, unless asked, it would go a long way into coming together into one big united orange family.

Avoid talking crap to members vs ideology.

At the end of all of this is a discourse some while high, some not, on politics.

Indeed, it transcends politics.

Trump being president and the way he carries on is probably the most bizaare thing i have witnessed in my life. And i have seen some weird shit i can tell you. Its definitely entertaining as really the cunt has no effect on my life what so ever. If i was American i would be scratching my head wondering how did it come to this.

It's very strange indeed. It's like empowering Duterte in the Philippines.

I urge the anti-Trumpers to watch this. To get another side of the story

Not really. I will call someone a f**king idiot but also explain why. That was my point, the irrational Trump haters will resort to name-calling except with no supporting argument. It's childish. The poster I referred to said that one of the most successful people in the world was stupid. Actually since Trump inexplicably won the presidency he is literally the most successful person in the world. And he somehow beat a candidate who not only had the entire media on her side but also outspent him 2:1. If he is stupid then what does that say about the people that he politically slaughtered?

^^That he successfully campaigned for a job that he isn't good or successful at and is harder than he thought (which is absolutely bizarre)? Being a good campaigner and golfer isn't something that makes a United States President successful.

I'm guessing history isn't going to treat him more kindly than current opinion of him by the majority of Americans and many other countries who have traditionally been our allies. He's easily manipulated; all anyone has to do is flatter him to make him do whatever they want or criticize him to freak him out. He wastes time tweeting about TV show ratings and nonsense, golfing, and having rallies and losing his temper at people who criticize him in a job where you can expect to be burned in effigy often.

It's telling that George W. Bush is now being held in somewhat higher regard for having a sense of humor, a better vocabulary, and not doing childish things like physically shoving another world leader at a NATO summit.

Before you scream "fake news!" about his incredibly low approval ratings, consider that the Republican-led Senate is trying to pass very unpopular healthcare legislation without our Dear Leader's alleged "Art of the Deal" closing skills. Why would that be? Why did Senate Majority Mitch McConnell ask Trump to pull the ads from the 501(c)4 organization America Policy First that Trump approved to attack Senator Dean Heller of Nevada? Why isn't Trump coordinating with the Senate? Why did the Senate ignore his statements and requests to "repeal but not replace" Obamacare? Why doesn't Trump understand anything about healthcare, except that the worse than "mean" plan is also "great"? Why does Trump think wreaking havoc on 1/6 of the economy by repealing Obamacare with no replacement and the resulting uncertainty is a good idea?

Why is the Republican-led Senate putting legislation for the House's consideration to limit the power of the executive branch with regards to the Syrian conflict and lifting or softening sanctions on Russia? Why does Trump think that his verbally urging China to rein in North Korea has been or will be effective?

Why won't Trump release his income taxes? Why did Jared Kushner hire a trial attorney in addition to his attorney advising him about testimony in the three investigations about Russian influence on the campaign? Why isn't Trump in the least concerned that the election might have been affected by a foreign power via potentially illegal collusion and manipulation of the election process? Why didn't Trump realize that, as Jared's fact-finding trip found, that negotiating peace in the Middle East (where Israel is actually located) is complex?

These questions and more (e.g. about his concerning lack of stamina as evidenced by his Mr. I-need-a-golf-cart tantrum even though all the other world leaders including women in heels still walked a bit at a NATO meeting and Mr. Leisure Weekend is still too tired to handle everything on his calendar or lack the self-restraint to contain himself and not hang up on an ally- the Australian Prime Minister- because he was "tired") observations are stunning yet ignored by Trumpers because "alternative facts" and denial.

It's great that he Tweets because it's hard to deny he is a misogynist and a racist (he retweeted tweets from white supremacists. Helloooo!).

Luckily his behavior can't get worse and if he doesn't start a war or nuke a country it will be okay. Not great but okay.

America waits...
